Cleansing! Is this it for the buttons?

The story of the buttons: The buttons were first sighted at the Minneapolis listening party, and it was quickly noted that there was small lettering on them. Testing the various combinations of the letters on various Year Zero websites, a new page was unvieled on the mailstrom site. Those buttons happened to have similar artwork, and the working theory of two like buttons = wreckage/shard combo was born Some of the buttons are matching randomly now, so there may not be any method to the madness. More buttons popped up at the New York, Los Angeles, San Deigo, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Detroit, and Cleveland listening parties.

Now that the US listening parties are over, it is unclear where new buttons will pop up. It is speculated that they'll hand out buttons at the UK events, but so far they haven't. Also being that the UK events are pseudo-official, we probably shouldn't expect much out of them. In any event, keep your eyes peeled for new buttons, we still need matches. Hell, maybe Interscope will mail them to Spiral members, you never know.

Enterprising ETS members have found a few wreckages without seeing the corresponding button (if in fact they have a corresponding button), but now appears we may be at a stand still in finding the remaining shards. The speculation is the buttons are out there, but people unaware of the ARG have them.

At the Los Angeles OSR meeting, 3 more buttons appeared with shards and wreckages on them. 10 additional buttons were also given out, but the only writing on them is a big LA on the front.

Beyond Buttons: The latest matches come non button matches. Scorpion came from the gun on the inside of the case. Usurp and Flood were discovered from the numbers inside the Year Zero booklet (more info in the booklet thread: Usurp, Flood ). Pain was discovered by inverting exhibitA.wav and combining it with Capital G, resulting in a voice that says "wreckage is pain." Pain was then inputed as a wreckage into Mailstrom without a shard, and that brings up the try_again (which is different than the normal tryagain page). The capital letters from try_again were then used as a shard (more in the Exterminal thread).
