Beat by madonnalicious? How dare they??!!!!

Where in the world is Westlife popular? I'd never even heard of them until my freshman year of college and one of my neighbors liked them.

Just watching American Chopper on Discovery, they were using a mold to make a gas tank, and the kid operating the press was wearing a Nine Inch Nails shirt... it was just black with the NIN logo.

I think that because I complained so badly about being bested by Madonnalicious the one year, they've made it a point to put that site just above the nin hotline every year since.

I'm fairly surprised we got up that high. I didn't do my usual blitz... but the whole thing is fairly rigged. If we spanked the living shit out of DepecheMode.TV in that battle of the bands website, I'm not sure how they manage to best us in the DMAs.

Our next batch of T-shirts should say "WE LOST TO COLDPLAY."

I was looking at that lineup, and thinking 'the more things change, the more they stay the same', and had the thought to look at last year's winners. They seem to be exactly the same.

I think we're going to get beat by Elton John this year.

I like his shit, so I was perfectly happy to take that, and it started to make sense to me: 'Hey, that would be a pretty crazy collaboration.'"

Nine incn nails theme on espns college football Bottom 10.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2612025&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab6pos2

The Bottom 10 inspirational thought of the week:

I believe I can see the future
Cause I repeat the same routine
I think I used to have a purpose
But then again
That might have been a dream

-- Nine Inch Nails, "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"

Finding this week's Bottom 10 theme wasn't easy. Then we stumbled across some reviews of "The Nine", ABC's new Wednesday night show. Nine strangers inextricably linked by a mysterious tragedy. Hmmm. There are nine winless Division I-A teams this week.

Temple doubled its Sept. 23 point total, but the Owls remain No. 1 after dropping a 43-14 decision to Vanderbilt. Utah State scored its first offensive points of the year, but the Aggies' 41-21 loss to Idaho keeps them at No. 2.

Sadly, we had to break up F_U, which held the No. 3 spot last week. Florida Atlantic won -- and Bottom 10 rules mandate that the Owls get the week off. Florida International goes it alone this week, but at least the Panthers picked the right week to land in the No. 9 spot.

Duke moved up to No. 3 this week and Eastern Michigan jumped from No. 7 to No. 4.

Remember that flashback thing? Well, Michigan State's making another appearance in the coveted No. 5 spot. Back-to-back stays are very rare, but the Spartans followed their collapse against Notre Dame by dropping a 23-20 decision to Illinois.

The pillow fight of the week: Florida International at North Texas.

Have a comment about the Bottom 10 ranking? Send us your thoughts.

So, with apologies to Steve Harvey and celebrating the number nine, here's this week's Bottom 10:

Took a walk at lunch today and saw a girl with this tattooed on her upper left arm/shoulder:

Until the very end of me
Until the very end of you

Thought that was cool.

Yeah, I can't tell if the Mansfield, MA date is on there. I'd buy it if I could see a higher res version of it or even know what dimensions it was! Damn merch.com

^^^It's probably on there (the date) if it was part of this last leg of the tour. I'm guessing it's the same size as the other posters, not sure about quality though - maybe it's the same and they are just trying to squeeze this in last minute....

I believe it's the same size as the normal with teeth poster. (the one with the album art on it, not the lithos) I saw one at the merch stand at PNC in NJ.
