Guys this is definitely official since all major japanese record shops are announcing the release date.
It better be cos I just pre-ordered it through HMV Japan.

I wonder if it'll have any japan-only bonus material.

I checked HMV's and Tower Records' site, but neither of them mentions about it. They just say 'There may be some additional footage'.
I don't think they mean this as japan-only bonus.

Yea, I think they're all supposed to have additional footage.

could "additional footage" mean every video from the fragile and with teeth? and tour footage from Live: With Teeth 2005?

This has been discussed ad nauseum in other threads in this forum, and nobody knows for sure, but I think the general consensus was that it would be logical to only include additional footage relative to the Self-Destruct Tour (i.e. up to TDS and NOT after).
In other words, it's logical for "extra footage" to NOT include "future" (The Fragile, etc.) songs and/or footage relative to the Self-Destruct Tour, since the Closure video/DVD is something of a pseudo-documentary/retrospect of the Self-Destruct Tour, which includes NIN material UP TO that point. Make sense?
The videos from The Fragile and forward are more related to the post-TDS period, the Fragility Tours / AATCHB, and any future With_Teeth tour footage.

Then we'd have another Broken on our hands.

not really.. there are plenty of ways to get around that. but i'm assuming the US and Japan release dates are going to be within a few days of each other, and the lack of any source for a US date (other than December 31st 200X) is what makes me doubt the validity of the japanese one...

it would be very unlikely. first off, the original footage isn't good enough to put on such a high definition media, it would be overkill. second, i don't think interscope is going to jump at such an experimental format yet, they'll let the movie studios fight it out as to which format will prevail.

I just received a mail from HMV Japan's customer centre regarding the release date.
It's postponed for a month and the new release date is April 26th.
Grrrr, I knew it!

And so it begins. Or continues. Or whatever. No closure, again.
