yes, seriously...starfuckers and getting smaller are terrible...while not so horny now is not the best work...it's WAY better than those two...starfuckers is my potty song (i.e. I can leave the floor and piss or get beer...)

Ok, I think these are the complete/correct lyrics. The "you're just fading and fading" line could also be "he's just fading and fading," it's a little muffled. But since the rest of the song is in the second person I chose "you're."

Does anyone else think, by the way, that this is about "addict Trent," rather than another song about Manson?

These lyrics are awful. Hey Trent, props on the rhyming! Maybe it sounds better in the context of the song.

I cannot judge this song from the soundcheck/IEM recording posted on the other thread. I must hear a studio version or a very good quality bootleg first.

Speaking of the bootlegs for this tour, where they at?! Nobody has posted anything thusfar, and I feel entitled to one after having missed the Tucson show.

In an interview he started saying that it had already finished half of the new album. then another one he said he was kinda somewhere else from with teeth, and the new albuma would be another change.
i think this "not so pretty now" will never make its way on the next album...l

Yeah, this is probably going to be one of those songs that is only played live. I can't see Reznor releasing this on the next album. There's no way. It's probably just some song he wrote during With Teeth's creation, like others have stated, or perhaps even prior. I don't think it's horrible, but I don't see a real purpose for it, other than a new live song. To be completely honest, I haven't really been feeling any of his lyrics lately. That includes With Teeth. I miss the NIN of 90s, but I know the drug addiction was part of all of that, and I'm happy he's clean.

But if this makes it to the next album, we are surely doomed.

Actually, he's not rhyming that badly anymore. (Into the Void, The Way Out Is Through...) I like the lyrics to With Teeth. He's never going to be Bob Dylan, but at least he's still honestly trying to put words to thoughts and emotions that are his.
That's not to say that these lyrics don't have relapse written all over them.

goddamnit, im trying my damndest not to listen to this horrible song, but this discussion is making me curious. i havent bothered reading the lyrics posted... nor do i plan on it.

question to those who have heard it~ KNOWING what you know about the track, if you where me (someone who hasnt heard it) would you listen to it or just wait to be 'disapointed' when its performed at your gig?

you're waiting to be disappointed because someone else is saying they are? that makes no sense. Rather then saying the song is horrible based on what some people have told you, and the lyrics you have'nt even read, maybe you should listen to it and form some opinion that is your own. Or you could wait for it to be played live and sit and cringe in disappointment.

So far I like it.
