I saw Skinny Puppy a few months ago and they put on a damn good show. I doubt they would open for nine inch nails, but you never know. I do think Trent's got something exciting up his sleave to expose the world to good music again. I don't know what I'm talking about, but maybe he has a plan.

i will bet any amount of money, without hesitation, that there will never be another nin/skinny puppy tour.

I think it would be more likely for nine inch nails and tool to tour together, but it doesn't look like tool will be releasing a new album any time soon. Then again, Nine inch Nails might not be releasing an album any time soon either.

I'm too busy imagining the hilarity of Skinny Puppy and NIN fans interacting (i.e. screaming curses at one another) to let your pessimism get me down. Razz

Ditto..

plus. NIN and Tool touring together.. wouldn't happen. Outstaging one another would be a problem.

I already posted a "cream your pants" thing on the hotline about Puppy opening for Ministry. I guess I can absolutely ruin any chances of this happening by posting about it, too.

this is just my opinion, as i have no idea what, if anything, is going on in tront riznozzle's mind right now. but i get the impression that he wants to move forward (eventually) with his music, and touring with skinny puppy would be too much like "hey, look, it's 1988 again!" if and when nin ever tours again, it'll probably be with a lesser known, up and coming act whose music trent finds interesting and complimentary to whatever sound nin has now.

And we should remember, even when dealing with NIN, that nothing is impossible... only highly, highly improbable.

I think that it'll be a young band also. Like when the Foo Fighters toured over here a few years back, and Cave In supported. Not the most likely choice, but it worked.

Plus, Cave In fucking rule.

So would a bukkake session with TR and company, but that's not very bloody likely to happen, now is it?

I know that most skinny puppy fans hate nine inch nails and that alot of nin fans cant stomach skinny puppy music but damn. I remember when i saw the fragility tour i was fucking floored. in all honesty i didnt think that any concert could ever top that. The fact that it was also my first concert probably added to that though. Anyway i saw skinny puppy this summer and fuck...it was so badass i will never be able to fully put it into words. Everything about that concert was fucking intense and perfect. The point is that they both put on the best shows i have ever seen in my life. For them to tour together again would be insane. It would be a show that no one would regret paying to see. as far as i can tell tool is supposed to take part in this too. I did see them on the last tour they put on and as good as it was it didnt compair to the skinny puppy or nin concerts. If this tour does take place i would hope that tool would open, skinny puppy go on after, and nin end the show. If you think about the styles of each band it makes sence to go in that order but skinny puppy is set to open so whatever it should still be a badass tour if it really develops. I hope they change the opener to tool.

Don't ohgrogreogilvie and Mr. Key generally dislike (loathe) Trent? Anyone ever seen any video/bootlegge of NIN opening for them?
