Well, I've followed the .BUP - .IFO fix posted here and even the video_ts to .iso with IMGBurn, followed by a 'burn and none of the four DVD+DL discs I've burned work properly in any of our Playstation 2's or the DVD player in the living room.

All of them fail to load in the bare-bones, old-school DVD player and all of them are slow to function in the Playstation 2's... and after that, hiccups and glitches.

They'll work in Nero Showtime, that's it.

Quick question, the names at the end of the PDF, who are they? I noticed my name in there but I didn't do anything (noteworthy). Is it everyone on ETS?

Either way I'm doing something now, uploading the 1080p version at a steady 1.1 Mbps.

You also ought to run a deep analysis or make sure it's enabled in the settings. I haven't used DVDShrink for a while, so I've forgotten how long it takes, but people on forums reckon it doubles the encoding time, however it will improve the quality of the SL DVD.
I used it on Xmas eve and it took 15 mins on my shitty Dell laptop.

Alex - when I did it Nick said to make sure it's region free, and that subtitles and the two audio channels should be selected. This was already default for me.

Yeah - that's already default for me as well. Should I put that in the post, or will it confuse people?

seems like someone got the rapidshare thing going... As soon as I have the 1080 done, I'll upload that one, if there is any demand

Edit: And after watching the DLDVD twice now, I have to say i am fucking speechless how beautiful the ghost tracks translated live. I could never imagine how they would sound live, but after seeing this... WOW!!!

Everyone signed up to thisoneisonus.org - they will all be ETS or nin.com members though, as that's how that register works. There was an idea to make it live update (I think I posted in here asking if anyone knew how to do it) but it didn't work out.

Guide for converting DualLayer download onto 2x Single Layer Discs
Note: Retains all features, and all original quality.

1 - Download DVDFab 30day trial from www.dvdfab.com, install and run.

2 - Click the highlighted button...

3 - Click SPLIT down left hand side (1). Browse for the DLDVD VIDEO_TS folder (2). Either select your DVDRW drive with blank inserted, or browse for destination folder on HDD where it'll dump the ISOs it creates (3). Tick "Disk 2" so that when you insert disk2 it won't auto go to menu, it'll play immediately, but the menus are still there for you to use should you require them (4). Hit "Start" (5).

Takes 10mins or so to do ISOs to HDD on my 1.8Ghz C2D laptop.

4 - If you pointed it at your DVD drive with a blank in, pop in a 2nd blank when it's ready. If you pointed to HDD, burn the 2x ISOs onto SingleLayer disks.

5 - Pop in your DVD player of choice and hit play.

6 - Uninstall DVDFab trial.

S'worked peachy for me... on laptop, desktop, cheap DVD Player under TV, and PS3.

For those of you who had expressed an interest in a computer version with 1080p video and 5.1 audio, I've just finished throwing together an mkv of just that. (video from the MOV, audio ripped out of the DL-DVD)

Anyone want to offer to help seed, or should I just throw the torrent up and hope for the best? (I do have FIOS...)

Think about rapidshare. Grab the Upload-Manager here: http://rapidshare.com/rsm.html

I can help seed (already have access to ftp), though torrent is probably a more efficient protocol when there's more than two users. Either way, thanks for this version!

Can the 1080p .mov file be played on a PS3? Is it even optimal for bigger screen's? I downloaded each individual song off youtube under the Full-HD link (it only took one hour unlike the torrent). Then I uploaded it onto my PS3 via external HDD. It looked decent, but I can easily see the visual flaws from the file quality. Someone said that the Dual layer version has better picture quality than getting off youtube, because of the youtube encoding or something. So I want to try it, but I already got the 1080p .mov version downloading first. I was just wondering if the 1080p .mov will work on the PS3 if I upload it, and would it be better looking on my tv (Sharp 42" LCD 1080p) than the Dual layer version? I know .mov isn't native on the PS3 and there might be compatibility issues, but I've already found a program that can convert to a compatible extension for the PS3 without harming quality. Another question can you upload the Dual layer version onto your PS3 hard drive with an external HDD and without having to burn it onto disc? Would the 5.1 sound still work aswell? I'd guess that it should work and the quality would be the same as if on a dual layer disc...

I also would be interested in a 1080p .mov file with the surround mix from the dual layer aswell if it can be seeded, but that is if its works well with the PS3...

Another fine tool to compress to a SLDVD is "CloneDVD" by slysoft.com. Can be found there: http://static.slysoft.com/SetupCloneDVD.exe

Fast and very good quality-results in the end.

CloneDVD is my prefered tool however it didn't work at all for me with this. I tried 3 times and each time it made the SL file 8MB too big for it to burn onto a disc, thats when I had to download DVD Shrink.

It did it 4 times as fast and got it perfect on the first try.

Hell, I'm feeling adventureous. Here's the torrent for the 1080p 5.1 computer version. (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N9Y1XXAP) Hopefully things won't get too bogged down, but if they do, I'll start throwing it up on rapidshare. (ugh, 90-ish files to upload...) If this ends up being a popular format, please Please PLEASE seed as long as possible.

For what it's worth, (which might not be too much) this is an mkv, not an mov. That still probably doesn't answer your question about whether it will play on a PS3 though.

mkv's can easily be turned into VOB files and played on PS3, you just need mkv2vob. It's a fast process, no encoding required, it just repackages the thing and keeps the original video quality and audio type.

Thank you! Why do so many people use Rapidshare over Megaupload? As a downloader, Mega maxes out my DL speed. As far as uploading, doesn't it allow larger files to be shared? *shrugs*

Because, there are so much people with a premium rapidshare account out there.

Is there a good way to chop the 1080p MOV file into individual tracks without completely wrecking it? I want to play the uncompressed 1080p version on my PS3 but from what I've read here and elsewhere, the PS3's hard drive format can't recognize files bigger than 4GB. So I was thinking of cutting the 9GB 1080p MOV down into individual tracks and putting it on the PS3's hard drive much the same way as I would the ones I jacked from YouTube. Can anybody tell me how to do this? If I can do it successfully I'll gladly post links to the individual videos for other people to download.

EDIT: I have a Mac, so if anybody were to point me in the direction of software with which to do this, keep that in mind.

No way of testing this (don't have a mac), but a search found this:
http://ask.metafilter.com/75352/How-do-I-split-up-a-MOV

Try QTcoffee software that the poster suggested in the post, along with the commands...
