Epic epic epic. NIN as a 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 5 piece all in 1 night. And no
"slow" songs until the last 2. And JLYI! Get Down Make Love! Down In The Park!! Best setlist I've experienced.

The song played with Health was "Love Like Anthrax", according to a lyrics search + verification by looking at a monitor at the soundboard.

Was the vocalist for MSD and Wish the dude from Dillinger Escape Plan? I'm wholly unfamiliar with the band but I know they were in LA for fyffest on Saturday, and I know they joined NIN for Wish when they toured together recently...

The soundboard monitor read "Wiess Vox" if that means anything.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I'm sure that was a lowercase L, "wless", since that guy had a wireless mic.

That'd be Greg Puciato from Dillinger Escape Plan.

... Did that really happen tonight?! Without a doubt, the most unbelievable NIN show I've ever seen, and I'm going to venture a guess that this has got to be one of the best shows they've ever thrown, if not THE best!

I'm not one to brown nose T-Riz and the gang, but they pulled out all the stops and then some tonight in terms of special guests, rare songs, and making me re-love the songs I thought I was tired of.

I can't wait to see the official setlist, but my highlights were..

Just Like You Imagined (with Mike Garson!!!!!!!) - Without a doubt one of my favorite NIN songs, and I never thought they'd play this again...
Mr. Self Destruct (with Danny Lohner and Greg Puciato) - shredded
The Becoming (with Mike Garson) - piano AND guitar handling the sick riff
PHM tease for the first three songs - opening with HLAH was the first cue that this was no ordinary, semi predictable set list.

Fuck it, I can't even keep going because so many parts of this show stood out to me as being the best rendition I've ever seen/heard of certain songs, and this was my 19th time seeing them. Unreal...

Didn't Danny also play on Anthrax? I could be wrong; there were so many damn people on stage!

Haha, I've been doing that too! He didn't come out til encore... Trent sort of pulled him on stage and gave him a special intro... good friend and member of NIN or some such.

You read my mind!

Also, if you want to put in where the encores were, the first one was between Anthrax and Heresy, and the second was between The Hand That Feeds and Atmosphere.

Assuming that Thursday's show doesn't top this one (albeit unlikely), September 8th at the Henry Fonda could go down, objectively, as the best NIN show of all time. Really.

For the third time this mini tour, I have a new favorite show ever.

And it was my last. I had a pretty fucking good run, though.

Holy SHIT.

Down in the Park... what? Was that a fucking dream? I think I had a mild seizure when that began. I don't know what else to say, how do you top that show... EPIC beyond comprehension.

Unbelievable, that was the greatest concert i've ever seen. For years i've been saying i'd give my left nut to hear Just Like You Imagined and tonight was that night. To hear Mike Garson and the boys play that song tonight made my whole life a success. This is definitely a night to tell the kids about one day!

And to think we got Get Down, Make Love and a mini Gary Numan concert to boot! AND we still have the Wiltern to go. How can you top this?

Don't you think that was a little mean, though, teasing it like that? After the TDS shows, PHM was the other most obvious album to play straight through, and when I heard the beginning of Terrible Lie right after HLAH, I was sure they were going for it. Would've been pretty rad to get that one in toto.

Still, no complaints. One of the most varied and unbelievable setlists any NIN fan could've hoped for. I can gripe about a relative lack of Fragile material, but that version of JLYI with Garson on piano pretty much makes up for it. One of my favorite songs, and so great to hear it the way it was recorded with him there.

Inappropriate! Considering the girl at center-rail who really did have a seizure, got pulled out, was given her spot back by security, and then had to leave again. Felt really bad for her. All before NIN even started...

I doubt anyone would take offense to my remark, clearly not directed at the girl who got pulled out.

I'll say it again... ridiculous show.

I wasn't actually trying to be chastising... just sort of teasing, but then maybe the tone got screwed up since my sympathy for the girl was genuine. Sorry for the confusion. Wink
