Hey guys. Colin Cooper sent me an email with a link to four torrents containing his complete edits of the LITS Victoria show. Here's all of the info, including links to the torrents -

Quote:
In the week since the posting, I have received various comments from people requesting torrents of the entire show. Unfortunately, different people want the show in different formats to meet the capabilities of their particular hardware.

In an attempt to answer these requests, I have created a series of four torrents that should cover the majority of interested users.

The torrents come in three sizes:

Small:

Video = MPEG-4 640x360
Audio = MPEG-4 AAC 16-bit, 128 Kbps, 44.100 kHz
Data = 2.31 GB @ 2.496 mbits/s
File Extension = .mov / .mp4

Great picture and sound quality in a small package. Optimized for iPod (Nano/Classic/Touch/iPhone). Two separate torrents. Quicktime version (.mov) contains chapter markers. Non-Quicktime version (.mp4) has no chapter markers, but should be compatible with both PSP and Zune portable media players (in addition to the iPod range).

Quicktime Version = http://www.mininova.org/tor/2318180
Non-Quicktime Version = http://www.mininova.org/tor/2318243

Medium:

Video = H.264 720P
Audio = MPEG-4 AAC 16-bit, 128 Kbps, 44.100 kHz
Data = 4.71 GB @ 5.099 mbits/s
File Extension = .m4v

Similar to my Vimeo uploads with alternate (heavier) video compression. Chapter markers. Optimized for iTunes, Quicktime Player, and Apple TV HD. May be further compressed for other uses.

http://www.mininova.org/tor/2314834

Large:

Video = Apple HDV 1080i60
Audio = Linear PCM 16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz
Data = 24.52 GB @ 26.53 mbits/s
File Extension = .mov

Uncompressed source media output of my edit. Chapter markers for each song. Enjoy as-is for maximum possible quality or compress to any desired format (BluRay, DVD, etc.).

The "Large" version should cover tech-savvy individuals who have the means to manipulate at will. The "Medium" version should cover most users in general. The "Small" versions are simply fun and convenient. They are also viewable on a computer for those with gear that might be too clunky for the 720P version.

So, download! AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SEED.

I'll be seeding the first torrent until my ISP yells at me.

if i download this (the hd version), will i actually be able to watch the whole thing this time? as with many people, i downloaded one angle of one show previously, and the first file played fine, but the second and third would have varying issues depending on the player. if i used VLC, i would get perfect video but no audio. other players would result in audio with out of sync video.

was that just some odd problem that resulted from however rob prepared the original files, or is that likely to happen again?

it sounds like the hd torrent is the same file type as the original, though i could be wrong. i'd love it if someone got a hold of that version and made a standard dvd version.

What DVD player are you using that can play .m4v data files?

I'm planning to convert it to a dvd with pinnacle. I hope that works.
I don't have the bandwith to seed a dvd file, but if anyone wants, I can send some dvd's around, so other people can put up a torrent.

I was just going to use Pinnacle, or whatever dvd burning software that I have that will let me use that file and burn a video dvd. Hopefully it works, now I'm worried.....

Sweet! I'll be downloading this!

It would have been awesome if he created a menu and released a dvd image of the show.

Thanks

my guess would be the large or medium version, because you're most likely going to be watching it on a fairly decent-sized tv. small would be somewhat pixelly.

I would also like to through offers of sexual favors to someone who could take one of these torrents and make a DVD image with menus for our viewing pleasure.

Also, just in case anyone hasn't watch the samples and is a stickler for this kind of thing: this does included song titles imposed over the screen for the first few seconds of each track. Just a warning in case there's anyone here who hates that stuff, since there was a whole thread bitching about it earlier.

i'd like to hop on the bandwagon with a request for a standard DVD. My XBMC doesn't like the 720p and the 640x360 is too small.

Actually if anyone had any suggestions on how to convert the "medium" to something the xbox can process, that would be great.

Yeah... basically there is almost no Alessandro footage (really - almost nothing). Sorry fangirls...
