All of you were being so "awesome" saying that you want to release a fanmade DVD. All of you were being so "badass" saying that you need as many footage as possible in HD. Trent listened and provided you all with it.
Now, all of you are bitching that the filesize is too fucking big or that you don't know how to edit it or why don't Trent just provide you with the DVD himself.
I've not seen many people complaining about the filesize. I've seen people stunned, shocked, in awe etc... But very few complaints. So don't say "all of you" when 95%+ of us are happy (or in my case ecstatic) with the pony.
I've not seen one person complain about not being able to edit it that I remember. And... Okay, the muppet I quoted has whined about a DVD.
I'm 50% done of cam 1, part 1 of Portland. While VLC won't let me skim the file, VLC can clearly play it. So that's good.
BTW, not sure if this advice is any use to anyone, or if it'll have any point, but there is a version of Media Player Classic for XP that has been hacked to put some of the decoding work onto the graphics card. (It's called Media Player Classic Home Cinema if I recall.) It takes CPU usage way down lets the GPU take some of the strain ON CERTAIN CARDS. Now it can play the MOV files (just tried), but I don't have enough to test it properly and see if it's actually doing what it's supposed too (taking the load off the CPU).
But I figured I'd mention it anyway as it may help some folk out.
BTW, is it even possible to edit MOV files on XP?
And to think I thought all the NIN multitrack files on my laptop took up a lot of space. HAHAHA!
