HURT! as much as it has been played over the years, the TO show will be my first show, it'll be really amazing to finally see it (been dreaming of it for years)
The Big Comedown, i so hope he was doing "MMMM-BUH!". how was Survivalism and The Beginning of the End? lots of tambourine dances? and the wretched! fingers are crossed it's played in Toronto.
I have so many questions and want to hear so many details. can't wait till everyone gets back with reviews!

The visuals on it are insane.

I'll talk about the stage.

In the back is a wall of rotating lights. 7 squares of 4x4 lights. This thing goes up and down.
Behind it is a large video screen.

There's also 2 video cages. A front cage that curves and a rear cage that curves so they make like an oval.
They both go up and down.
Between the cages were these dangling lights.

I think it was on good soldier, Trent tries to sing and play tamborine and play xylophone at the same time. He said afterward he apologized for not practicing and having a silly look on his face.

as discobunny quoted trent saying, "before a tour we reherse a whole bunch of different stuff..some of it makes it...some does not. " maybe you'll see some of the tracks you're hoping for. It has got to be really difficult to make up a set list with such a vast amount of material, but i think he does a great job of balancing things out.

edit: on the same topic, i was going through all the tracks the other day picking out what i was hoping to see, but unfortunatley a 3 hour show isn't going to happen haha

I didn't get it in time though... because I was out dead from lack of sleep from the last few nights (hunting and obsessively refreshing Google Earth was exhausting) and by this morning, I had given up on locations that I could not reach in time. But seriously - thanks for the help!

And the set list: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. I would have died. I have never seen them live and I think that if I were present for 'Hurt' or 'The Frail' - I would have cried. Literally. I don't think I would have been able to hold back.

Also - the set design sounds unreal. Did it have any connection with the pieces moving and changing the sound of the instruments, like Trent had once said in an interview?

EDIT: I am sort of sad to hear they didn't do 'Lights in the Sky'. Hopefully they add it to the list, so I can watch it in a live taping on youtube... or something. (My life is sad...)

echoplex was soooo good

and a piano track without anyone yelling "we love you trent"? unbelievable

the drum in hurt = wow

all of you nerds, wait until you see the show!

i kinda want to see videos later in the tour so i can see all the lights in full effect.
being front row isnt always perfect i guess haha.

Highlights:

Section A had minimal light stuff.
Discipline was a bit of a disappointment. Guitar didn't sound right and Justin's vocals made me laugh.

Section B was the good stuff
Warning and great destroyer was everyone minus Freese in front of the front cage
When the cage came up for the ghosts stuff, Freese was in the middle.
Finck to his right with a flute, Justin with a big stand up bass to his left. Trent off to the right with a large xylophone, Alessandro to the far left.
Visuals on the Ghosts stuff were utterly amazing. Rain effects and lots of stuff I cant describe or remember properly.
Ukelele on Piggy
Greater Good had an effect that reminded me of that new Radiohead video.

Section C was very intense lighting.
Roadie came out and cleaned the screen with a flashlight before Pinion
Big Come Down had those dangling lights inside both cages.
Survivalism had video screens in the back. Top left had a crowd cam.
Only has a new intro.

Section D
Think of the beginning of the reheasal video for echoplex. Then think a lot bigger, or think of wheel of fortune.

The Forum was the Venue, approx 1000 people there.

I am in such sensory overload!!!!! the light show made me dizzy at times...i cannot believe the detail in this show. I will post more later when I get home..hey does anyone have an extra litho? I am willing to trade...so amazing! best trent quote: well...nothing has fucked up yet which is cool...i may have spoken too soon.. hahahaha

Keyboard on top of another keyboard in front. Another thing on the side to his left and a cable switchboard to the rear.

To be honest, neither do I. just know my favorites, I'm hoping to familarize myself more with ones that might be played.
