Go to this site: http://www.academyfilms.com/ and click on Music Videos, then click on Walter Stern. Near the bottom of the screen you'll find a link to an alternate take of "Into The Void."

What I would like is for someone to extract just the video and provide a link to it. I'll warn you right now: There is uvula. (Get your brains out of the gutter, you pervs!) Marginally work-safe, yet grosser than the version we all saw on TV.

That is the shit.

I never knew that there was an alternate (finished) video for ITV.

I still can't find that other date for WT in 2007. :-/

So what's the deal with the two versions anyway (why are there two versions)?

There are several differences actually:
1. More extreme close-ups
2. A woman (who I think is Kim Prevost) is in the video as well
3. The band is performing in a white room rather than a red room
4. Trent apparently tried to swallow the camera (you'll see what I mean)

It's likely the director's opinions differed slightly from what was desired. Personally, I always felt the red room live footage bit at the end of the officially released video seemed tacked on. There's no continuity between it and the close-up shots. This alternate take has continuity, but the live footage at the end just seems to be missing something. I'm guessing the alternate take we're seeing now is the completed video that was turned in by the original director (Walter Stern) and a second director (Jeff Richter) was called in to "fix" things. If I recall correctly, Trent still wasn't completely happy with the result.

I think there's footage of the Jeff Richter version of the video. I remember seeing it posted on YouTube.

The Jeff Richter version of the video is the one that went to Mtv.

There's 2 directorial credits applied to the video as released. I'm not sure the raw live footage shot by Richter (and released on nin.com in mov format) was ever intended to be a standalone video. Rather it was a source for footage to be edited into Stern's cut of the video.

Alright.. so here's my question:

It's been said that "With Teeth" was performed twice in 2007. I've searched in the Tour Journal and I can't find it.
Can someone let me know which two dates the song was performed in 2007?
(Didn't they fuck up on one of them and then said they weren't playing it anymore?)

Thanks.

it was performed at one of the manchester shows this year.

during the "i cannot go through this again" bit....trent sings "i cannot see the fucking piano!" because...they forgot to light that bit of the stage. after the song he says "that's the last time you'll be hearing that on this tour" or something to that effect. i've no idea if one is the result of the other though.

so i'm assuming the other play of with teeth must be before 25/02/07

i really like that song live, so i'm glad i got to hear it once this year at least.

Does anyone have a clip of that? That..would be funny.

Does anyone know what happened to James Woolley? I never heard much about why he was replaced by Charlie Clouser..and what happened to him after that. In the woodstock performance he makes tons of mistakes, and trent even throws a water bottle at him during "Down In it" for screwing up the intro.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxsCXbJfrxA (down in it woodstock 94, watch the beginning)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2PKgdcy8qI (the only time woodstock 94, about 1:45-1:50)

Is this why he was replaced?
