Am I the only one who thought it was Trent playing the "lounge" piano part in Just Like You?
    Mike Garson is actually playing.

I think Trent tweeted about this ages ago so I knew for a while, but yeah when I first heard it I thought he was branching out a bit piano wise and was quite disappointed that it wasn't him

I completely missed that piece of information.
Glad to know I am not the only one who felt disappointed upon finding out.

Mine just came in, too. It seems like they're shipping the CD and vinyl separately and eating the shipping costs, because my order had both in them.

That, or I'm about to get a very pleasant surprise in about a week when it arrives.

Possible - check the shipment tracking tomorrow I guess, see if both are moving?

Pretty sure that's the case. I pre-ordered the vinyl as soon as it became available and haven't gotten any confirmation, and I didn't order a CD from them (I'm planning on eventually picking it up on Amazon).

Looks like Antonio Sanchez' score for Birdman is ineligible for the Oscar for Original Score, due to its dependence on pre-existing classical music. I'm curious as to how this affects Gone Girl's shot at the award:
How classical music torpedoed 'Birdman' composer's chances at an Oscar

If Gone Girl lands a nomination for this Oscar, would it be because of Birdman's ineligibility, or would it have been inevitable to be nominated?

The vinyl is going to ship separately. Modlife just reprints the entire order whenever they ship one part of it. They included my poster — the one that had already arrived — in their last email update when the CD shipped.

I think they deserve the nomination for best score, I would even say that they could win, but maybe it's just wishful thinking.

It would be either Gone Girl or Interstellar. I'm not saying Interstellar's soundtrack is bad in any means, but it's a safe bet. Trent & Atticus should get it for yet another outside of the box soundtrack

Is there any extended credits beyond what's on the back? And/or all text within it, including thanks, is possible

No additional writing credits for any track, but there are full credits included for the orchestra, including Mike Garson listed as the orchestra's pianist.

Listening to the 7.1 DTS-HD track of the leaked Blu-ray. It's soooooooooooooooooooooo good. The music has a great surround mix. Of course, there is dialogue and SFX bleed on the surround channels, so it's not that clean. I hope the final Blu-ray has an isolated surround music track like Oblivion did for M83.
