As you are aware, Florida has banned the term "Climate change".
How does this translate into real life discussions?

Cant' wait for John Oliver to make some really juicy sketch on this piece of shit
Lawyer ? That's a PR stunt, the guy's well aware this would never pass, he just wants -successfully- to make noise with his name on top.
Sure, but I wonder, if in this case really is every advertisement good advertisement. "Oh hey honey, that's that layer who wants to shoot gay people in the head, let's go with him."
Absolutley horrifying news. Selfish, unbelievably evil. Taking 154 people with you? there must have been signs he was a sick fuck?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-32063587
More like "that's the lawyer who's ready to go as far as spearheading a "kill all gays" movement"... Either the guy is a complete idiot and has blacklisted himself in the entire state, either he knows there's an entire demographic ripe for the taking. Think "Better Call Saul", but reckless and without any scruples.
But on the other hand, he could just be pants-on-head stupid. Wouldn't be the first lawyer to be surprisingly challenged in this department...
If true, so fucked up.
Being a frequent traveler the scenario of one pilot being in the cockpit while the other goes to the bathroom is not unusual at all. However, what I see in the U.S. is that one of the flight attendants actually goes into the cockpit while one of the pilots is in the bathroom. Another flight attendant, prior to the pilot coming out of the cockpit, now called flight deck I assume for pc reasons, takes a beverage cart and blocks the path to the galley and flight deck. I've even seen them turn on the seat belt sign before a pilot comes out.
Having a flight attendant going into the cockpit while one of the pilot is away should be mandatory.
I'm sure it will be moving forward. The people who deal with that kinda stuff should have thought of that. If it's done in the US how come it wasn't in EU? This is unbelievable.
We're so good to react after a tragedy occurs. We suck at preventing same.
**
EDIT: Canadian officials literally just announced that effective immediately, it will be mandatory to have at least 2 members of the crew inside the cockpit at all time.

A couple other European carriers changed their procedures too.

At least we know that this kind of incident isn't likely to happen again.

so what is the fucking deal with this Bergdahl character?
he's being charged with desertion and "misbehaving if front of the enemy" i think?
why in the hell did we suddenly decide that this guy was in danger after FIVE FUCKING YEARS and break precedent to get him out?
Surely he must be an intelligence asset of some kind, that's what it looks like to me.
But is there something i'm missing here?

It's good to hear some good news for once. I thought they were dead for sure
Michele Bachmann has said a lot of crazy things but this one takes the cake.
“With his Iran deal, Barack Obama is for the 300 million souls of the United States what Andreas Lubitz was for the 150 souls on the German Wings flight – a deranged pilot flying his entire nation into the rocks. After the fact, among the smoldering remains of American cities, the shocked survivors will ask, why did he do it?”
Wow ...
Remember Cliven Bundy? A year after his armed standoff with feds, he is still doing is thing in NV: http://www.npr.org/2015/04/14/399397...-bit-of-nevada

I would love to see this happen. I don't know how viable it is at the moment or how widely acceptable to the public this would be. I know that oil companies would oppose this idea.
It's an incredibly nonviable idea. It's outright horrible. Insanely expensive and filled with functional problems.

U.S. Federal Government preparing to invade Texas
And the closed Walmarts will be central commands.
looool
George Zimmerman got shot in a road rage incident.
http://www.mynews13.com/content/news..._shooting.html
this fucking guy...
i don't know if you think it's funny, but i don't fucking like it. Why does it say "Master the Human Domain" on the logo. Why is Texas the "hostile" area on the map?
And creepiest of all, why in the HELL is one of their (the us military's) stated goals to practice coordinating with LOCAL LAW enforcement.
That makes it fucking obvious to me that this is NOT training for a foreign war, you know?
For whatever reason (massive natural disaster, massive terror attack,) i think they are planning for real military operations HERE in an "aftermath" situation, a period of crazy ass instability. Order out of of chaos and whatnot, you know?
At the end of the day, this whole thing is a little too Year Zero for me, @Dra508
I'm DAMNED glad our militia is going to be watching the feds.

@Dra508 , Texas splits into FIVE parts if we secede. It's in our constitution. Just sayin.
But it kinda sucks that any time anyone asks questions, they are labeled a "conspiracy theorist nut job."
So yeah, don't think for yourself. Don't question the government. People will laugh at you.
Years later it turns out that, HEY, the vietnam war WAS started on false pretenses. or, whoa, the government WAS involved in cocaine smuggling for guns during the iran contra thing.
True nut jobs like alex jones have ruined things for anyone who doesn't completely fall into line and believe EVERYTHING the government says, and it sucks.
edit: and remember, i'm not a republican. i hate guns. i'm as far to the left as you can get without moving to norway...actually, i kinda wish i could.
i'm not some redneck conspiracy nut. i'm a long haired, pierced up, anti-gun, democratic socialist.
i just don't trust the government, and i sometimes have questions.

The Texas Constitution has preplanned secession? Way to be confident in the Federal government. We really need to change the name of this country. The dysfunctional states of 'merica.
Regardless of conspiracy shit, TX has every right to monitor what the federal govt is doing in their state. Fuck the feds if they don't like that.
Also, having conditions for failure is the design of a good system. Just because we have a preplanned impeachment process doesn't mean we have a lack of confidence in our electoral process. etc. It means we have a well thought out system that accounts for all options, not a myopically designed one that falls to shit the moment it doesn't operate exactly the way it was intended.
texas was quite wary of joining the union in 1845.
once we DID join the union, of course, secession became illegal.
some people, however, claim that because the 5 state division plan was included in our constitution in 1845, then congress has "pre-approved" it.
and people have proposed slicing texas up as recently as about 1990...turning the panhandle into "old texas." but these ideas always fail.
I don't know if you know, but epic douche bag Rick Perry threatened secession pretty regularly while he was governor.
You can read about the texas 5 state plan and its legality or illegality all over the internet, but it's pretty boring.
It's more of an interesting curiosity.
Back in the day it was about slavery. The more recent propositions have been based on adding conservative senators to congress.
Of course, the federal government would not allow this, ever.
@Dra508 here is an article from D magazine a few years back about the division possibility http://www.dmagazine.com/publication...tates-of-texas

sorry for double post, but @DigitalChaos , i'm with you.
And i want to clarify something. I don't think that Jade Helm is practice for invading texas, like a lot of crazy people do. And i don't think that Jade Helm is going to be an actual ATTACK, like the REALLY crazy fuckers do.
The thing that bothers me about all of this is that there are going to be special forces war games of this scope on american soil, and to me, it DOESN'T look like they are training for war in another country. Like i said before, why in the hell does the military need to practice coordinating with local law enforcement?
I have so many questions, and here's another one: are they practicing to combat some type of invasion coming through mexico? What then, do they know, that we don't?
I guess for me, the absolute bottom line is that the very idea of black hawk helicopters and special forces running around the STREETS OF SAN ANGELO, where half of my family lives, just gives me the creeps!
I just want to know why!
edit: You Should Be Angry About Jade Helm Even If You're Not Crazy
Remember. What we are talking about here is the federal government practicing spying and killing people in our fucking towns.
Can't they do this shit on the tens of thousands of square miles of land that they already have?
