The claymation is a direct replica of the British childrens t.v show called Trumpton...from the early 1970s.
Its weird its like the artists of Trumpton are doing their own version of the Wicker Man.
I have loved Magpie since I discovered Thom's solo version from that Hail to the Thief era webcast. It's one of my favourites on King of Limbs.
Apparently they were aiming to resurrect a bunch of old tracks for this album. Not that they haven't been doing that since the first album, mind you.
"Burn the Witch" sounds monstrously good through big speakers. I hooked my work laptop up through our main auditorium console and blasted the lossless stream from Tidal. Enormous bass, that synth patch at the beginning is amazing.
Late-60s. I WONDERED where I had seen this, before!!
I saw that video and man, they're fuckin' back. I really hope they tour later this year or early next year because I really need to see them so bad.

Wow I really really like this new one and Spectre as well. Not a big Radiohead fan and probably will never be since I usually can't stand Yorke but if this could turn out to be my first Radiohead-album that I will eagerly listen to once its out!
yeah, if you've never seen The Wicker Man (again, the original, not the remake), the video is basically a giant spoiler for it haha.
fantastic song, haunting video...i'm excited about radiohead again!
That damn movie never got a proper release over here but luckily a friend of mine who lived in Cambridge owns the director's cut and we will watch that today.
I am awaiting the first fan videos borrowing footage with Christopher Lee or even the Thomas the Tank Engine (I still buy toys from that one for the neighbours kids).
The video truly is something special since I grew up with this kind of animation. Now combining my childish days with my adult love for eerie music.
Ok, fuck it, I think I'm going to Outside Lands. Forrealz.
Burn The Witch in 24/48, mmmm yes please
Love this new song and Video. Haven't been a fan of much Radiohead is doing over the last decade or so but this is promising.
Burn the Witch is almost a perfect combination of HTTT and In Rainbows. Which means I fucking love it. I'm being hyperbolic, but this really might be the freshest track they've done in ages.
I'm usually not one to complain about Dynamic Range, and I do think some audiophiles go overboard with complaints, but this track has a DR of 3... That's incredibly disappointing.
so is there a radiohead wiki like there is for ninwiki? can't seem to find anything as awesome as that for them. Does anyone know if this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...d_by_Radiohead is pretty close to complete? i have quite a few b-sides of theirs, but i imagine there are lots of non-album things from them that i may not have heard.
^^

It's probably footage from another music video
edit: Seems I'm correct https://twitter.com/radiohead/status/728600091922182144
Sweet new album in a few days? Dang.
Holy shit the new single is excellent! Video is really cool too! I'm now super excited about the tickets I have for October (Burn the Witch is also good but this is on a different level).
"Taken from the new album released digitally on 8th May 2016 at 7pm BST."
daydreaming is incredible imo. sounds like they're pushing hard into johnny's soundtrack direction.
Please bring strings on this next tour!!!
Goddamn, if this doesn't sound/feel like someone going through the after effect of a hard breakup...I don't know what else does.
