I saw this article this morning which says the same...as well as mentioning that Chi has suffered yet another infection. Shitty luck is shitty.

bitter/sweet news...
I was hoping for a Chi recovery and listening to "Eros" both live and on CD at last...
new song performed live, "Rosemary"
it reminded me a lot to "Minerva" and "Chage in the House of Flies", and that's a good thing!
I can say I dig it.
I dig this a lot more
August 30, 2012 – Grammy-winning alternative rock band Deftones have announced the November 13th release of their seventh studio album, entitled KOI NO YOKAN. To support the release they will hit the road on a nationwide headlining tour, with special guest Scars On Broadway, which kicks off October 9th in Ventura, CA and will conclude on the West Coast mid November. Tickets on sale next Friday, September 7 via Ticketmaster.com.
KOI NO YOKAN was recorded in Los Angeles, CA with Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush) who also produced Diamond Eyes. Front man Chino Moreno summed up Deftones‘ sound in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying “Obviously we’re an aggressive band – not the heaviest, but there’s a lot of attack. He continues, “But there’s also this lush beauty that flows within everything that we do, and that’s my favorite part of the band. To me, it’s the epitome of what the Deftones do.”
From their 1994 debut Adrenaline to their platinum-certified, Billboard chart-topping, Grammy-winning breakthrough album White Pony, Deftones have continually crossed-over genres, defied categorization and delivered compelling live performances around the world. The Sacramento band’s 2010 release Diamond Eyes was named iTunes’ “Rock Album of the Year,” as well as KERRANG!’s 2010 Album of the Year. Diamond Eyes also graced many other critics and readers “Best Of” lists, including MySpace, AOL Noisecreep, Alternative Press, MOG, and Drowned In Sound.

Odd album name.
I'm definitely going to the NY show. I saw them last month with System and their set got cut short due to a thunderstorm :/. Cannot wait!
So excited about this! Can't believe they're playing Columbia, MO right after KC. Definitely going to have to try to see them two nights in a row. Love the album title. Very "deftones" of them.
How does one buy in the presale? I tried to join the mailing list, but it doesn't work. And I don't have American Express.
Koi No Yokan (Japanese): The sense upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall into love. This is different than “love at first sight,” since it implies that you might have a sense of imminent love, somewhere down the road, without yet feeling it. The term captures the intimation of inevitable love in the future, rather than the instant attraction implied by love at first sight.

Thanks LaneSax, those videos fucking rocked.
Diamond Eyes was so good, this looks like it's going along a similar vein. Can't wait.
Tehyre definitely still keeping the mathy tones set hy the last few albums. I really, really dig that. Looking forward to it. Still want to hear eros...
Sorry for the double post but
BAM!

here's a tracklist and single dates and shit.
Stoked!
My brother got me tickets for my birthday to see them here Oct 13th so I can't wait!!!!! Also looking forward to the new album as well!
Hearing that most of the songs are over 5 minutes has me extremely excited.
Me too. The name of the tracks are a bit different to me than previous albums. The new songs sound great though!
It's a good week for hard rock, new Deftones and Soundgarden songs this week!
anyone else check out the leaked documentary "Entertain Me"?
Not the best thing but still entertaining for a Deftones fan.
I heard about it... trents on it too right?
It's quite "Closure"-esque in the way of quality, but not as interesting content wise. Definitely good for fans. Only half an hour in though, no Trent yet.
Also watching this now, nice to see Chi having a ball.
Forgot how great an album White Pony is. Still is actually.

I'm out of the loop, how is Chi doing these days?
He was kinda getting towards a better place a couple of months ago, but then took a turn back for the worse again. That's all I know.

It is an incredible album. Still pissed Eros was shelved, apparently it sounded quite like it.
Chi says in the doc that he wasn't a good bass player and still wasn't at the time of the interview but Stef liked how he looked. Shows that attitude goes a long way.
Also, no Trent in the doc at all. Whaa, who thought that?
Seemed somewhat fetched to have Trent in there. But that doesn't matter off course. Deftones definitely deserve lot's of respect imo. They survived the "nu metal" label and are quite relevant up until now and probably further I believe.
Haven't been this excited for a new track coming out in ages :| been refreshing every forum worth a damn but it'll probably be tommorow now.
For now i thought i'd share a really early version of a take i'm doing on team sleep's natalie portman. Think we're taking it in quite a different direction. Drums are placeholder for now and we're re-recording guitar/vocals but still check it out and let me know what you think
