around the time he started doing porn, he somehow started following ME on tumblr, and i think it's because my secondary tumblr (which is tasteful nude self-portraits) got reblogged by a blog called something like "skinny hairy dudes" or something like that. it was...pretty hilarious.

Some day I hope my child speaks this way about me.

Freshly groomed eyebrows. It's little, but I feel 10 pounds lighter.

Getting a new album and siting there listening to the whole thing start to finish that first time.

Because fuck downloading two individual songs from it and ignoring everything else that wasn't on the radio.

Good coworkers. My coworkers and I spend the day trying to crack each other up between calls. It is the only thing that helps make this job almost tolerable.

Visiting the Philippines. I think my opinion of traveling has dramatically changed over the past 10 to 15 years and I seem to be a lot more used to the heat this time around. And well, the food trips have been rather enjoyable so far.

The overall politeness, hospitality, generosity and general displays of common courtesy have also made me feel very much welcome and at peace.

Oh yes, and the fact that this is my first ETS post outside of the USA, ever.

rode my bike last night (for the first time in a bit) to see alkaline trio. it was only about 3 miles each way.

today, i rode a total of 15 miles, including 7.8 miles home along the lakeshore trail, and made three service calls for work.

tonight, i'll be going to a bar with my wife for our friend's birthday, and i'm about to make him a mix.

tomorrow we're going pumpkin picking, getting apple cider donuts, and eating bbq in woodstock.

I'm finally under $3,000 left on my student loans! And with a couple more paychecks, I can pay off the part of my loan with higher interest, so it'll cost me a little less over the next few months as I pay off the rest.

Man, I love having a job that pays well - even if it drives me insane sometimes. My plan is to pay off my loans in the next few months, save up enough for a semester or two of classes, take all of next summer off from school AND work to just enjoy some free time (maybe land a part time job to keep from dipping into my savings too much), and start school again in the fall for my last couple semesters. All capped off with a big trip to Japan in summer 2016!

This article about a boy with autism becoming friends with Siri. It was really touching and interesting to see how this A.I is able to communicate with him about his fields of interest. According to the mum, it has actually improved his communication skills. As much as people like to shit on it, technology is amazing.

After more than 25 years of research (and the invention of internet which helped a huge fucking deal), my dad found out we're descending from the Medicis and the Valori.

TL : DR version : I basically own Florence (well, me and a million other descendants, but as long as I'm first I should be able to fend them off with vats of boiling oil...).

Feeling for a change that I might actually deserve the raise I got last week.

Money is tight and I'm not always firing on all cylinders like I am now, so ordinarily I'd argue with her — especially since she's done that twice this year. (I didn't get my new affordable-health-insurance-that-she's-not-subsidizing just so she could spend the money on me in other ways! Grrrrr.) … Well, I guess I still would've argued with her. Must have been a moment of weakness on my part.

But I got my revenge by buying a new monitor for the office and not mentioning that I used my personal credit card instead of the Amex.

my wife took a sick day today because her foot has been fucked up for over a month and she couldn't bear to make the 1.5 hour commute, so we spent the day on the couch with our cats, mainlining true detective (watched 7 of the 8 episodes).

Finally got the rest of my stuff moved into my apartment. In the process i found a Black Keys DVD I bought like 5-6 years ago toss on the table and forgot about for about a year. I must have tried to watch it at some point after that because after me and the ex broke up a couple years later i had the case but not the dvd. I had since thought it had been swallowed into the ether. I guess moving a few times in the interim were what was needed for it to end up on the top of a box of random stuffs. That and I found an old camera, it didn't turn on but when i put the card into my computer i found a bunch of pictures from my Samoa trip and others as well that i may have on my pc but haven't seen basically since i got back. And just generally finding stuffs i'd had completely forgotten about being as most of this stuff had been in storage for over a year. And like Joy mentioned i also just got a raise at work. I guess doing work and can pay off when you work for decent people.

DESPITE SOME DISAPPOINTMENTS before the trip, I ended up having a great time on my birthday weekend.

Now I have to adjust to saying that I'm "30".

Haha... It's alright. I had busy, and REALLY late nights Friday and Saturday night. So Sunday, I just slept in, took a bath, watched TV, and hung around my hotel room naked. lololol. None of which I can do at home. That sounds so incredibly lame when I type it out. But it was really nice, actually. I thought about you in the afternoon. I was gonna contact you, but I figured you were busy. NEXT TIME.
