There is no way in hell we are going to get a reasonable ending to this by the end of the revival. I feel like there are just way too many layers here..

Last week, I think I decided this might end up being just a continuation. The show ended on a cliffhanger with no resolution, and we were led to believe it wouldn't be resolved. Perhaps this run was just an offering of more story, but will leave off without a true resolution. Unless they do one of those "this was all one person's dream" endings. That's such a boring trope, though, I doubt it.

Twin Peaks was never originally suppose to end, so I always kind of expected an open ending on the new series.

Hoooo boy. Titles for the finale, parts 17 and 18. I might really suggest not looking at 18's otherwise a descent into nail-biting speculative hell may follow.

    Spoiler:
Part 17: The past dictates the future. (8 PM on September 3, 2017)
Part 18: What is your name? (9 PM September 3, 2017)

So outlets are reporting today that a fourth season is unlikely, but when I actually look at the quotes, it doesn't sound as though anything has changed.
If anything, it sounds like Showtime doesn't think that Lynch wants to do it.
And that's ok. The only thing that would bother me would be if Lynch and Frost wanted to do more but couldn't find a home for it.http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...owtime-1027586

I think it's safe to say this series will only continue if Lynch and Frost want it to continue.

This series will always have a home somewhere. If Showtime can't come to terms on a continuation, Netflix or Hulu would be crazy not to pick this up. Especially when the original series is already available on both platforms anyway.

Netflix, especially. They're already holding a similar hot hand with Stanger Things; TP would be a natural fit and would likely bring in those of us who are discontinuing our Showtime subscriptions the moment the finale is done airing..

Wouldn't Netflix have to buy the rights from Showtime? I heard Netflix is in a pretty big financial hole itself, and even when rights holders don't plan on creating anything, they're still very unlikely to relinquish those rights without some ridiculous sum of money changing hands. I just don't think Netflix has the kind of money they would need to acquire TP.

I've never watched Community, so for me it was "OMG IT'S THE GUY WHO PLAYED JASON VOORHEES IN THE REMAKE".

I'm going to give that a read. I tried reading this one last night and it gave me anxiety.

Just watched it again, and I am not seeing what supposedly Ed is in the window at the end.

A little brighter, so a bit easier to see. His reflection doesn't match his actions, and at one point, it glitches.

You could trump this up to an error, but I really don't think so because the next time you see the window, just as the credits are rolling, you can't see his reflection as well.

It just went full-on horror movie. And I love Grace Zabriskie in such a dark role.

I'm fairly certain David Lynch asked for the actor with the worst English accent on purpose.

    I'll eat you.

Also, Lissie is the worst lip-syncer I've seen in quite some time. Episode was dedicated to David Bowie. And that jail cell scene with Chad had me lol'ing hard.

Was this the first episode of the revival with no actual Dougie-Coop in it?

    Great stuff this week..

There are about 800 things that made episode 14 absolutely amazing.

    - Monica Bellucci in Paris made me pause the show to pour a glass of wine and grab a baguette
    - Diane and Janey-E guuuuuh
    - Sarah Palmer is the best
    - Confirmation that the statue outside Dougie's work IS meant to be Bowie
    - I love-hate that all the clues are coming together
    - Of COURSE Andy was the one sent to the white lodge
    - The visions in the white pool in the lodge were really emotional
    - The fireman/true-man antithesis of woods-man thing
    - Fuck you, Chad
    - I wonder what's going to happen with Naido?
    - Holy fuck that English guy was terrible. Is he from the 19th century?
    - Huh, didn't hate James for once
    - Seems like Tina's daughter confirms some sort of mental health thing with Audrey
    - TP has some of the best woman characters I've ever seen. I can't believe anyone thinks this show is mysogynist; it's an absolute joy to see these women portrayed.

The statue outside Dougie's work which is pointing is said to look exactly like Bowie. In this week's episode Bowie('s only appearance) makes the exact pose, pointing at SADC.

I might be remembering wrong, but I think I recall at least one episode without any Coop/Doug, because I was disappointed that we got no development in that part of the story.

It doesn't really look like David Bowie. If it's meant to, then they screwed up on the statue.
