cool. call it whatever you want, maaaaaan. if Clouser was the main composer, it isn't NIN anymore (it can't be, by the very definition of the entity). i can't find specifics on who actually made it, though – the cassette liner notes are less than helpful about Appendage. anyone know of an interview that mentions it?
