Now that I'm all grown up I typically only collet if their are significant differences. i.e. extra/ bonus tracks. Back in the 90's that shit would piss me off as I was a working kid with limited funds.
Amazon is now reporting "delivery sometime between the 13 and 17". At least it's coming... I hope.
shocked to see a nice booklet with lyrics and everything
Ordered my copy over CDUniverse.com for 7 USD something. That was a good deal.
Got mine at Best Buy today, 5.99 on sale

Sorry if this has been addressed, but is there any reason why this is available on amazon and other places, but not NTAE?
What I know for a fact is that some EU discs are manufactured with less quality than some US versions.
I will point out the example of Depeche Mode Spirit Deluxe US CD versus the EU counterpart.
If you notice closely, you will get the darn FBI logo (tiny) but... the discs seem to have better coat print and have a nicer outside ring border than EU version.
I can't tell about the digibook printing, but the US is very high quality. I can say that South American copies of this one are printed like crap. Perhaps the EU...
So, perhaps this is the reason friend above wants to trade (I am not sure about Australian version though).
Also, I have noted on Discogs that Add Violence is pressed on a Mexican plant, this the disc is made in Mexico (I'm not sure why).
It has a IFPI Mould SID code that belongs to a machine in that country.
It just seems odd that the second EP would get this nice treatment on CD but not tne first. An official CD of NTME would be nice, but it's not that big a deal.
I know with Hesitation Marks I got like 4 copies of the standard edition. The Canadian, US, Japan and somewhere else due to the way the pictures were printed.
Picked up my copy today for $7.99 Canadian ($6.41 US), What a deal!
When I walked in and went to the new releases wall, I didn't see it, walked to the NIN section, wasn't there, was ready to walk out, but say a huge stack almost staring me in the face on the way out, totally on their own away from everything else.
When I went to buy it, it was like 6pm in the evening, and the dude at the cashier was like "This is the first one of these I've sold all day! Quite shocked, thought this was gonna be a big sell, so I put them right up front when you walk in"
Could have been a poor place to put them, because I didn't see them. Could have at least stacked some under the NIN section, lol...
Not sure if it was just poor store placement, or literally I am the only nutjob that cares about a physical CD in 2017... Probably the latter.
Well, me and a bunch of you folks on here.
I'm not sure if it's usefull, but for the record amazon france sold me it yesterday, friday for 5€ including autorip, I placed my order on thursday afternoon (yes I paid for shipping)
Mine was fine but I ended up making a slight bend getting the plastic off
Played back my file (I have the 24-bit WAVs). No issues on my end.
I tried to upload AV to listen to in my car and TBW didn't even upload properly at all. I gave up (I tried I gave up) and uploaded the MP3 to my phone and said hell with it and that was fine.
@mostlymad is your digital file mp3?
I like the matrix code format Capitol Records uses for this US CD pressing: "07/21/2017 07:15.PM#12937"
Not sure if later pressings will keep the date/time, but it will be interesting to see (assuming this release gets a later physical pressing).
Otherwise, I'm just going to purchase the Japanese pressing on Hostess once it's available.
@mostlymad
Can you provide a sample of your mp3, so we can determine if this mp3 is defective.
I'm sure it will be fine to get another mp3 to replace this one.
You can PM me for help.
It is an mp3.
But I've been going through everything, and the only place it now seems to distort is either on my phone speaker or through the car. If I plug in my headphones, it is fine. The file on my computer is fine through my headphones, too. Is it possible the car signal is distorting it. I've never had just one song do this. Usually, I can tell if a speaker has blown by other songs, but for some reason, I swear it's just this one part of this one song. Not knowing is driving me nuts.
I've never tried to share something in general, before. Here is the problematic section, if this worked:

I checked the sample and I checked the download. There is nothing wrong with the MP3 file.
I now understand what is going on.
This particular sample on the music can crackle on some drivers if you play it in a very loud volume.
The reason it is because this section, with voice muffled, it uses very intense medium frequencies in the music.
It crackles on my Sennheiser headphones. But they do not in my home stereo. So it will depend how loud you play and
what equipment you are using. Now, these intense medium frequencies won't go away. They are on the record and that is it.
I usually do a ReplayGain on my albums so as it tames the loudness this does not come up.
But with the RAW sample section in question opened in Audacity and high volume, it crackles even on headphones.
I may emphasize that for you to hear this crackle in your headphones, you're asking to be deaf within a few days though.
There is nothing to be done.
Blame the loudness race and mastering practices of music industry, and of course, TR himself, always wanting it VERY loud.
