So...the Twin Peaks sounding music on the Gone Girl soundtrack was directly inspired by Twin Peaks.
Even though we still haven't heard anything about it, I won't be surprised if some Reznor/Ross music shows up in Twin Peaks. 18 hours needs quite a bit of scoring, and Badalamenti is up there in age.

This man's obsession was to recreate the "Closer" bassline and could never figure it out. He even interviewed Trent multiple times for Keyboard Magazine and even Trent couldn't remember how he did it. All he knew what that it was created on a modular synth. While this guy was messing with a factory patch on the new Novation Peak synth, he accidentally created a pretty close sounding patch to the original bassline sound...

Watched an interview with Chester and Mike from Linkin Park (because I can't believe how shitty the new album is). They're asked about their top 3 movies, places, etc.
Eventually they're talking about their top 3 bands and sure enough first one that comes to mind is NIN. Don't know if I should be happy about that or not. @ 3:38

I don't know if anyone's ever spotted this before but i just did and I've played this game billions of times.
It's an FPS called Sin released in 1998 on the id Tech 2 or Quake 2 engine, developed by Ritual Entertainment and published by Activision.
While playing i noticed a bulletin board with the words "she has the blood of reptile underneath her skin", which seems to me like an obvious reference to Reptile, part of the word "underneath" and "her" (i would assume) is hidden by another image. The only word that actually seems to be missing is "just" but that's a forgivable mistake if it indeed is meant to be a nod to NIN. If not I have no idea what else it could be.
