I found out very late that day about his passing and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I don't want him to be gone, this fucking sucks. Max Payne is one of my all time favourite game characters, i literally JUST finished playing Max Payne 2 and 3 again this past month.

Hearing James bring this character to life was comparable to the gravitas of Kevin Conroy's Batman/Bruce.. (who just so happened to voice some baddies in MP2)

His character on Alan Wake 2 left me so excited for the Max Payne remakes, I wouldn't be surprised if Remedy and Rockstar decides to cancel.

Maybe they could just change the scope from remake into remaster instead, the original two games could really use that quality of life and modern compatibility, as long as Grove Street stays away. Have the games working in higher resolutions and 16:9 with achievements, that's all it needs. It would be a total shame for nothing to end up happening but we obviously don't want a recast or some A.I. bullshit.

Right there with you though, James was so great as Alex Casey, an absolutely promising glimpse into what the remakes could have been like.

Jim Ladd passed this week. Ever so grateful he played Porcupine Tree’s “Arriving Somewhere but Not Here” on the way to see King Crimson in Chicago, on his SiriusXM show. Telling my brother the drummer on the song was in the band we were about to see was nice.

Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of the Suikoden games and the upcoming Eiyuden Chronicle game, which has been in development since kickstarting in 2020. Really sad that he didn't get to see the release of it, which is scheduled to come out in a couple months.

The Suikoden games are huge to me, with part 2 maybe being my favorite JRPG, and I was really looking forward to Eiyuden. Most people aren't going to be familiar, but this is sad news for me.
