Yeah I can see Billy being like "well nicole vox didn't sell oceania like I wanted it too so time to go another direction" even though it really added a whole new dynamic to the songs she was on, especially coming off the much overused million bolly choir. I think it would be a nice touch if he at least brought her in to do back up vocals on a song or two on one of the two upcoming records. Either way I'm pretty sure she'll be back for the eventual tour, the only way she doesn't come back is if she ends up having scheduling issues with her other projects, because I can't see Billy "recasting that role yet" again. Unless he decides he wants to do an epic rock show tour, and bring in a seasoned male bass player with some cache who can compliment a guy like Tommy Lee on drums (if he even ends up touring for the record, which doesn't seem incredibly likely but I'd say is still possible at this point).

Machina reissue for 'next year'. Dammit. But.. 'with which we'll probably offer this set as a reissue amongst other materials.'

So...a combination reissue plus originals? My wallet will BLEED.

Robert Smith apparently having one of the Machina II copies, heh

Someone somehow stumbled across the full version of the Pastichio Medley track 'In The Arms Of Sheep' and leaked it on Netphoria. It's good. Sketchy vocals but good.

Adore reissue tracklisting coming tomorrow or the day after.

    Edit: Awesome, reply 666

That one little song was possibly better than anything on those expensive reissues.

Apparently the first of two new albums (Monuments to an Elegy) is done and Billy is considering possibility of releasing it in advance (as in, this year). Per Billy's posts.
    Still no Adore tracklist tho.

Of course Billy would announce a tracklisting and never follow up on it. Of course.

Maybe this means we'll get the skinny soon:

An almighty SIX CDs, and a DVD. Loving the fact that they went with the vinyl photo for the cover.

Hard to feel bad for Mike and Nicole. Billy spent years establishing them both as permanent, legitimate members of the band and they treated the Pumpkins like a side project.

Nicole certainly does. Putzing around LA with her lesbo-rock outfit when Billy needed her in Chicago. The Mike thing is just an assumption, because he was never around for the writing/demoing phase. Can't say I'm sorry to see Mike leave for good; despite being a pretty good drummer and a solid backing vocalist, Billy needs to be playing with musicians of his own stature anyway.

Interesting. Gotta admit there are a few oddities, like '17' not being present there. Also the presence of TBITEITB and not TEITBITE is odd.

But then again Infinite Sadness wasn't even on the Mellon Collie reissue >_>

Billy's got a ton of stuff in the vault, for certain. But noticeably? A bunch:

-The full "Summer" B-side off the Perfect single is absent (probably because it's a James Iha track), as are all of said single's remixes and the Kerry Brown remix of Daphne Descends. Summer is only here as an instrumental it seems.
-The End Is The Beginning Is The End isn't there either (maybe a rights issue, but it was on TAFH live, he apparently also doesn't care for it). Neither are all of its remixes.
-Lord knows if the version of Czarina on there is the same as on the Ava Adore single
-The only version of Once In A While present is a 2014 mix.
-Same goes for the two TEITBITE B-sides: The Ethers Tragic and The Guns Of Love Disastrous, 2014 mixes only.
-Winterlong, Soot & Stars, and Saturnine from Judas O are not present; we have a Matt Walker 2014 'reimagining' of the latter and a version 'for Piano and Vox', but not the original mix.

From everything I've heard the amount of material recorded and demoed for Adore is enough to fill a few CDs. There's probably still stuff we've never even heard of.

i'm so glad matt got to do some "reimagining" on this! he had told me billy asked him to work on it, but i wasn't sure in what capacity.

there are so many things coming out right around my wedding that i'm pre-ordering on amazon, which is so terrible, because i'm gonna end up with a giant credit card bill o.O

Thanks. Tracklist looks pretty good to me, wish there was a live version of "for martha" on CD 6, tho. I'm kinda glad he left off that Iha stuff. Most of James's vocal stuff I find pretty boring. Looks like the rubin version of LMGTWTY is on there, I know that was a pretty big request amongst the fan base. I remember before the album came out there was a big article in rolling stone about them working with him on that track for inclusion on the record, and then it was never even on it. I always found that odd. My only complaint is that this set didn't come out last month. In my life experience Adore has always been such a quintessential summer time album, would have been great to enjoy it all on a first listen in that setting.

He does probably still have a vault full of stuff. Makes me hesitant that Billy's giving us ALL the solid gold material on these reissues. The lack of including a cleaned up "depresso" on anything yet is evidence of that lol.

It keeps seeming more and more like Billy is handing out blue prints on how to do a reissue campaign the right way. Can't wait to get my hands on that set, this has been my most looked-forward to one of the bunch. Having never heard the mono version, I'm excited for that as well.

Honestly with all of the high amounts of output Billy had going on from Mellon Collie up through Machina, I feel like it should be expected that some stuff won't be making the cut. I'm just happy that we're getting so much in the first place as it is.

...especially considering most of it is unheard. all the stuff that's supposedly 'missing' is out there already on various singles, so it's not as much of a big deal to me.
