What is up with this? I hear literally no amount of Amy in Mariqueen's voice. Am I nuts or is everyone else?

I hear Mariqueen. I guess everyone gets out of it their own preconceptions. I will always think this version kills the original. As much as I liked Legend, this song always felt artificial. There's more of an authentic tone in this new version.

Nobody really hears Phil Collins, either.

I was working the door at a club in the 80s, and this isn't what I'd consider an "80s" song. Nor is it a typical Bryan Ferry song. Isn't it an outtake from Roxy Music's "Avalon?*" It's a schmaltzy song. That Fincher likes. For some reason. I'm withholding judgment until I see this movie, as I'm assuming Fincher has some kind of "reason" for wanting to use it.

*edit: I guess the Legend soundtrack was mostly Tangerine Dream (you probably remember them most for Risky Business) trying to be Vangelis' Bladerunner soundtrack.
