I was never a big fan of Ladytron, the stuff never really stuck with me.
That is, until Gravity the Seducer came out. I love the new album from beginning to end! Totally dig Ace of Hz, and the reprise Aces High.

Saw them in Chicago back in October and it was rad. Great lighting and smoke (!!!!). Very loud, but clear at the same time. I really dug Velocifero, but I still need to check out their older stuff.
I like the new album very much but Witching Hour remains my favorite.
I love Ladytron!
Witching Hour is my favorite, as well. Good stuff.
Finally got around to giving Gravity The Seducer a chance. It's actually pretty cool.
I saw Ladytron when they were in Seattle. Good show...
Helen Marnie's about to release a solo album in 2013. She's funding the project with pledgemusic (similar to kickstarter)
I already pledged for a cd, but I might upgrade to LP later, Oh and the track snippet sounds great.
Here's the link http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/marnie
First listen of gravity the seducer (crap title) back at the time
passed over me.this last week, though, I've not been able to get enough of it. A Bona fide masterpiece. Stand out for me is "white gold". Couldn't get a physical copy, no local shops had one. At one point I saw the lp for £10 online and suggests it as a birthday gdy but didnt receive it... Plumped for amazon mp3.
I had a pretty big Ladytron phase in high school. However their newer stuff really didn't resonate with me at all.
Destroy Everything You Touch is still one fucking bad ass track.
I think you can divide their work into three phases: 604 and light and magic (which I'm not well enough acquainted with); witching hour and velocifero (really feels like witching hour part 2); then gravity.
I haven't heard the Marnie snippet. Do you have to fund to hear?
Fantastic band! I love every Ladytron album.
Also I'm looking forward to hear the debut album of Marnie (their main singer).
Yeah, I'm looking forward to Helen's album. I was a bit gutted with Gravity until Tegan and Sara's Hearthrob which filled the lady-led synthpop hole that ladytron left there. So we'll see how her solo stuff goes. I haven't donated, because £15 for a CD is pushing it a bit, but ah well.
Here's Marnie's new music video for the track "The Hunter":
The track sounds pretty much like Ladytron, not that I was expecting something different, but I wonder if there are more variation in sound on the album. Nevertheless, the track sounds good and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole album. I think the album released in 4 days (at least for the pledgers).
Yeah I like the track too! I agree I expected something a bit more different from Ladytron sound but never the less excited to hear her album!!!!
The song is awesome! I love it.
And indeed, it sounds like Ladytron (Gravity the Seducer era).
I just got my kickstarter download of Marnie's full album, "Crystal World." It's amazing, so far...
Just finished my first listen of the "Crystal World". I really liked the album. Especially the second half of the album is just gorgeous, "Submariner" and "Gold" were the tracks that stood out more to me. Also, I wonder if Alessandro was involved in the making of track "We Are The Sea", because it sounds much like SONOIO with Marnie on vocals.
Looking forward to general availability on this one
This band popped up in a playlist on Apple called "Influenced by Nine Inch Nails."
I've only listened to a few songs so far, but I like what I'm hearing.
if i find the picture, i'll post it, but my wife and her friend went as the girls from ladytron for halloween one year in college.
I saw a news item on a fan site that Daniel had talked about the 6th Ladytron album being worked on... but it turns out that news update was from 2014 (http://ladytronmusic.blogspot.co.uk/...-new-year.html) meaning the elusive album is now 2 years overdue

Daniel Hunt also co-produced the forthcoming EP from the underrated shoegazers Lush.
Years later again... new record is on its way...

I love this band. Went with the vinyl album in their pledge music campaign. Very happy to see them back together, as while I love Marnie, it just feels like her solo stuff was missing a certain 'I don't know what...' Can't wait!
I like it.
