    Deluxe Edition pre-order...
    http://www.importcds.com/music/26206...sitation-marks
    only $14.19

I found them through Amazon as one of their sub-stores. Found out they had their own site to order through and stuff is cheaper than going through Amazon. Ordered from them a few times, everything came fast and in perfect condition. From now on, any CD shopping that I do it's through Import CDs. I like to support the smaller companies.

Supposedly an autolux remix of Everything.

(that's the song "Everything," not everything on the CD just to clarify)

Fuck I hope it arrives on the 3rd. Todd Rundgren remix...awesome. A Wizard, A True star is an amazing album. International Feel is such a great song, along with Zen Archer and La Feel Internacianal (sic?). And i really want that autolux remix...

Everything seemed to fit into a larger whole and tell one story, and Russell Mills' art direction was definitely partly responsible.
I agree, I'd love to see a Hesitation Marks remix album as well. While my favorite remix record to this day is probably still Things Falling Apart (I just love everything about the Fragile era) the idea of songs being manipulated and "remixed" like they were in Further Down the Spiral for new material is just really exciting. Although while I liked YearZeroRemixed (some songs I prefer over the originals!) it strictly being a "remix only" record was a little lackluster. To me, besides the really cool things people have done to the original tracks...a lot of the fun in these "companion piece" records like is the inclusion of some really weird B-sides or completely different arrangements like Memorabilia and Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now) for FDTS or Metal and Slipping Away for TFA.

Either way, I'm sure these new songs are begging to be remixed and I would love to see Halo 29 be just that.

My friend just heard Eater of Dreams and all I got out of him is that it "sounds crazy". Nerding out over nothing.

edit : Got a lil something, apparently he didn't even hear the whole thing, - " It's crazy ambient noise which sounds similar to some of the scores he's done"

    How? Where? Just curious.

Edit: Heh, is your friend a Mexican named Mark by any chance?

Pre-release "reviews" should have the spoiler tag, me thinks. I'd also like to know where your friend heard the song, and why exactly (just?) the intro track.

I believe there is a tour/album trailer coming where Eater of Dreams is the song in it.

Probably cause Treznor likes to yell "I'm the eater of dreams!" a lot in the song, awkwardly.

The remix album should be called Resurrection Marks btw. My idea, from me, to you. Run with it.

    I hope this is true.

On a side note I've always disliked intro songs, I NEVER listen to HYPERPOWER! or 999,999, I always just start from Beginning of the End and 1000000 respectively. Hesitation Marks has an intro AND an outro. Yuck!

I couldn't imagine Broken, The Slip or Year Zero without their intro tracks. It depends on how you look at the album. If you look at it as a collection of songs, then yeah, they're useless. If you look at the album as a work of art as a whole, then the intro tracks are an important part of the mood building, like the intro scene to a movie. A good director will use the opening credits to build mood and set the tone of the movie (whether it be dramatic, comedic, action-packed, porno, etc).

And I never really thought of HYPERPOWER! as an intro track in the same way as 999,999 or Pinion. To me, it's it's own song as much as any other instrumentals.

And also.... how impatient do you have to be to go through the trouble of skipping 999,999? Kids, these days.....

I really love both versions of the Further Down the Spiral - the Jim Thirlwell and Aphex Twin tracks are fantastic.

i think intro tracks can be an awesome way to open an album.

my upcoming album has one that's a little over two minutes long...mostly because almost all of the other songs are almost 9 minutes long...

Way too much YZ bashing in here.

The best album he's made since The Fragile by a long shot!

I didn't like it at first, but now it's my second favorite behind TDS (which I also didn't like at first. That happens to me quite a bit). I don't think there's a bad song on the album.

Its not impatience, nor am I a kid, I just don't like them. I forgot about Pinion though, I usually listen to that one when I put on Broken. I just think Beginning of the End is a kick ass track to start Year Zero off, HYPERPOWER! reminds me of Pilgrimage from The Fragile which I also always skip, so it seems pointless. As for 999,999..... I listen to it every now and again, its got neat atmosphere, but its only okay. I rarely ever listen to The Slip from start to finish anyways.

I do like intro tracks that succeed in framing the album well (which are few and far between), I just haven't liked TR's recent intro-track songs. If there was some director that made an amazing movie, but the first few minutes are meh, when you get to watching it for the 100th time you'd probably start skipping it. I don't feel the need to put myself through something that I don't like (even when its short) just so I can say some hogwash about fully realized artistic visions. When I think "I want to listen to Year Zero" the start of Beginning of the End goes through my head. Regardless, here's to hoping Eater of Dreams stops the trend of unmemorable intro songs.

LOL! What if The Eater of Dreams is in reality the intro Trent triggers on stage right before Copy of A? Just a thought, because it'd be weird to have an intro track and then a second track that starts with another intro. Pinion, HYPERPOWER!, 999,999...they're all followed by a straight forward second track.

Speaking of a remix album: The Hesitation Mark Has Been Made.

    Or Came Back Remixed.

I think the eater of dreams (great name for a song by the way, wish it was a "full" song with lyrics ( it is instrumental, right?), i think it will be some ambience with some glitchy shit going on, kind of like 999,999, but instead of the sharp stop into 1,000,000, it will crossfade into those sweet electronics heard at the beginning of copy of a.

Or it could sound nothing like that.

And on the subject of intros, i think they are great. Unless i am on shuffle, i always listen to the intros. They are an extension of the song they precede. They always add a level of anticipation for whats coming next, and I think thats the whole point. I dont consider HYPERPOWER! a "traditional" intro tho. It is... but its not. Its not, in the sense that its also a stand alone song, but it definitely sets the stage...
