More importantly, it seems obvious from today's festival info that an APC/Soundgarden tour is happening this spring. Which would confirm the people above who speculated as much b/c APC can't fill Hollywood Bowl by themselves. From AEG Live's 3 festival announcements today:

If we do get an APC/SG tour then SG will really be getting a total lock on me as an audience member out of sheer necessity and yet zero interest in their catalog, considering the two dates I caught on the NIN/SG tour.
I'd go with a Mastodon/In Flames or Amon Amarth possible tour based on the above info (maybe all 3?). And this also confirms that Opeth/Gojira is going nationwide, and not just the Red Rocks show that was announced a few weeks ago.
My heart sank when I heard the news on the radio this morning. Of all the places they could've done or performed at they chose the shitty Carolina Rebellion Festival which I refuse to shell out money to. All I'd go for is Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle and Mastodon. Fuck that.
I'd love to go a festival if the entire bill or most was good. To shell out a big load of cash for a lousy atmosphere and short set lists isn't my ideal way to see a band I'm pumped for.
I also like Eagles of Death Metal and Gojira but not sure when they're on. It's a three day festival. APC is on Friday.
$100 plus fees, Yeah I would so go if I was closer to any of the fests, but any band that is not a headliner gets fucked on set time. When will these fests learn to cut the bill back and give bands 1 to 2 hour time slots, no more 25,30, and 45,50 minute sets. I do love the atmosphere of a good fest though. I love seeing bands in a bar and then seeing them with like 10k to 50k people at a fest. I wish I could go to more fests and kinda miss the old ones. Hell I look back at old Ozzfest stuff and things could never be the same.
Dam... definitely stinks that they are playing at a fest. I was lucky enough to see them at a regular concert and it was amazing. There are a decent amount of bands I would gladly see at rebellion: APC, Chevelle, Mastodon, Coheed. Not worth a full 3-day pass though.
SG are doing Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH May 19-21 without APC, so hopefully it's just a coincidence. I wouldn't be too excited at the prospect of a co-headline tour, and would rather APC do smaller venues on their own (unless it's with NIN). Guess we'll be finding out next week.

Looks like Matt McJunkins is pulling double duty on these festival gigs.
I just went to APC's Wiki page a moment ago (yes, life is that exciting!) and under genres it lists nu metal as one.
WTF!?!?!?
I dunno, Mer De Noms is a little NÜish sounding IMO...
Billy posted on his FB that a somewhat larger announcement is expected next week.
i like that idea, but i also like the idea of staggering the headliners....instead of all the big draws playing toward the end of the night, spread them out a bit maybe one is at 4 (full set), then 8, etc. it would be cool not having all the headliners sandwiched toward the end of the day and in all cases back to back which makes it very challenging getting from stage to stage to get a good vantage point for both sets.
i dont get all the love for florida...and nc too? meh.
They haven't announced all the dates yet.

They haven't announced all the tour dates yet.
In case anyone was still wondering.
I'm just prayin' for Vancouver or Seattle lol.
OK, are these butt holes going to announce "the other" dates prior to Hollywood Bowl going on sale or not? I plan on going there regardless (it's the one venue a have yet to be at that I really want to go to) but I'm sure the vast majority of their fans who aren't a hop skip and a jump from LA don't feel that way.
Kind of a shady thing to do, have festival tickets go on sale and book a venue that's too large for them without mentioning other cities/dates, to the fans IMHO.

I'm just excited for what I can only assume is a surprise A Perfect Circle Christmas Album to drop.
