Nice! I had a feeling the end of the last video would relate to the beginning of the first.

I have loved the video series, I was really hoping there would be a clip for every track because it would be neat hear the album with a different official continuity, but I imagine that would have been a huge undertaking that would probably be super expensive. Really fucking awesome ending though. I love cyclical stories.

Matador Records and QOTSA is doing the ads on Antiquiet for the day I guess.

    I cropped/fixed the background image.

Also I can't get over how great this album is. It gets better with every listen.

This surprises me. For some reason when you said the same thing a while back it stuck in my head. I think you were right about EV in particular being more on the belting side, but Like Clockwork!? I actually had the thought listening to it that you in particular would be happy with the incredibly delicate melodies and beautiful vocal work of the record. The more I listen to it the more the vocals have really started to steal the spotlight for me.

Has it been announced in what formats the album will be released?

Will there be some kind of a special edition?

Kalopsia sounds like something from Mellon Collie. Even the title reminds of Pumpkins

Man, I am not feeling this album guys. I've enjoyed most of Queens work and have been a casual but interested listener but this record just doesn't entice me or excite me at all. The first track has this really cool doom/stoner riff going but then it goes in a direction I wasn't really feeling. That's kind of how most of this record is to me. I saw some people were excited for Trent's vocals on Kalopsia but I didn't think it was anything worthwhile. Overall, not for me I suppose.

I've listened to Smooth Sailing, I Appear Missing, and Like Clockwork 30 times over the last few days.

I swear, I hear Trent's fingerprints all over this song. I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote or produced this track.

Josh Homme originally intended to have Trent produce to entire album, so it's quite possible.

The Vampyre Of Time And Memory is the only track I wasn't thrilled with, but the rest of the album will get many replays!

Keep Your Eyes Peeled (gotta love droney grunge), and 7-10: Fairweather Friends (ahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhh ahhhhh), Smooth Sailing (what a bassline!), I Appear Missing (some great paced drumming!), and ...Like Clockwork (perfect mellow vibe mixed with Theodore's burst of madness) are definitely killer tracks to finish the album and my personal favorites

Am I the only one who got a mini-Flamingos "I Only Have Eyes For You" vibe from Kalopsia?

I'm getting Mr. Bungle/California vibes from Kalopsia. Love the tropical slides and the contrasting styles. There's an overall Mike Patton aura all over the album.

Damn, that's easily my favorite track. Something about Josh's singing inflection on that song made me fall in love.

Anyone going to this? Recording this? Hoping for awesome backing vocals on Fairweather Friends?

    Josh loves Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Also, the band talks to NME about making the new album. They're also on the cover of this week's magazine. Plus, the guys are going to be on Letterman June 5th.

So, has anyone figured out which song Lanegan is on? It's like Where's Waldo. My guess is background vocals on If I Had A Tail.

He's on If I Had a Tail and Fairweather Friends.

    Also on Fairweather Friends:

"Drink wine and screw is all we'll do"

    Walkin' On The Sidewalks:

    "I wish we'd get away,
    Drink wine and screw"

It must be part of a 14 year long ARG.

That's defininitely him on if I had a tail and you can slightly hear him in fairweather friends whereas I don't really hear any of the other constributors that are listed on Wikipedia. I'm really a bit bummed, as I was hoping for a proper feature with Lanegan like the old days, but that doesn't take away from me enjoying this album more than I thought I would.

Anyone know where Lavelle comes into the mix? "...like clockwork" or "smooth sailing" is my guess, as they sound the most UNKLE-ish to me.

    Re: QOTSA - ...Like Clockwork

Loving the album either way. Just wish Lanegam was a bit more upfront and less obscure.
