Fifey, I have pretty much the playoff and end results the same. I don't know nearly enough about the western conference and am curious why you have Phoenix over Chicago?

And for all you Bruin haters, suck it up. This is ice hockey, not badminton. I don't see a European style team winning a Stanley Cup any time soon.

Chicago, for the most part this season, has had very suspect goaltending and defense. They've got a lot of younger guys, and Toews is questionable to play, and if he does, he's still recovering from a concussion, so he'll be out of top form. Phoenix has some depth, and their defensive system holds up well. I don't know if Mike Smith is the long term answer for the franchise, but dude had like 3 consecutive shutouts and has allowed 1 goal the past 120 or so shots faced. The Coyotes are hot right now, and after getting ousted twice in a row in the first round, I think they've got enough to beat the Hawks.

I watch this team on a regular basis with very little bias (fuck I picked St. Louis to win the series pretty handily) and yes I'm a huge fan but I'm a fan of hockey first. They are not a team full of players with compromised integrity. You'll find divers and embellishment on every team. What Clowe did was stupid and no one will argue that. But to say the Sharks will win a series via a shit ton of diving and cheating is hilarious. Sorry, rant over.

The Bruins are relatively young and pretty healthy. I think that and depth of lines is what gets a team to The Cup. Season is freaking long - it's spring FFS.

Reffing was bad in all 3 games. But it seemed to even out. I don't think any team it effected much.

I think Weber should be suspended but if he is it'll be for 1 game. Shanaban has said that playoff games are worth more than regular season ones so instead of missing 2 or 3 he'll likely just get one. But what do I know?

So, I just got home from Wings/Preds Game 2. Free tickets fell in our laps today at work. Amazing game! Wings have now killed off 12 penalties in the series, and 37 total in a row. PK is clicking right now, and we're getting the offense moving. Feeling very good about this series as a best of 5 now.

Also, I'm very happy that the Pens blew another 3-1 lead and they gave up 8 goals tonight. Crosby as Savior? Nope. Not happening.
