I like the ownership of Little Caesar's, the family are good people. The pizza is kind of meh though. They are way too obsessed with pepperoni for my taste. A little pepperoni goes a long way for me.

Fantastic F1 race today. Started with a spectacular wreck on the first lap & the drama kept up through the whole thing. Best race of the year so far.

Getting into baseball. I'm a long suffering Mariners fan. They are finally playing like they were predicted to before the season. There was a brawl with the Angels a few weeks ago & the Ms have been a different team since then. Our pitching is outstanding & it looks like we have rookie of the year with Julio Rodriguez. He's only 21 & playing lights out. Has been rookie of the month the past 2 months & last week was named AL player of the week. People are comparing him to Ken Griffey Jr & it's not out of line. Our wunderkid pitcher Logan Gilbert is pitching Sunday & I'm going to the game. Should be fun!

That was one hell of a brawl. Did you watch the Jomboy breakdown? I love his videos.

Hello America, Julio Rodriguez is here. Even though he finished second in the home run derby he put on a hell of a show. Now all of baseball knows about him. Hopefully Dusty Baker will put him in the game tonight.

got a ticket for Saturday afternoon. on FS1 nationally. great pitching matchup: young (Logan Gilbert) vs old (Justin Verlander). hopefully the Mariners will be going for a new consecutive win record assuming they tie the record tonight. it's been 20 years since baseball has been this fun in Seattle.

Epic game (of the year) last night with the Mariners beating the NY Yankers 1-0 in 13 innings. It was pitching nirvana. I'm going to the game this afternoon. I'll be happy if the game is half as good as this one was. The Ms trade to get Luis Castillo is looking real good. Got in today on a Pearl Jam Ten Club promotion. Got a nice ticket on the main level & a cool Mariners/Pearl Jam shirt for $40. Cheaper than the rest of the main level.

How dare your Mariners beat my Yanks like that! Honestly I'm getting worried. They've been the best team in baseball most of the year and then right on schedule August rolls around and they're losing again. They've had a decent team since 2017 and yet haven't managed to put together a deep postseason run in all this time.

    Enjoy the game today!

Great game yesterday. Attendance was over 43,000 which is basically a sell out. Not bad on a weekday afternoon. Now a 9 game road trip through the lesser part of the AL West (Oakland, Anaheim & Texas). The Mariners just went through probably the most brutal part of their schedule & finished 6-7 with a bunch of guys injured. Now those guys are coming back & the schedule is far more favorable. Hopefully they'll be going on a good run starting tomorrow in Texas.

That was a good game, must have been great to see live. You guys killed us again haha. I thought Boone pulled nasty Nestor too early and the pen blew it. You guys have a formidable team though, so hats off.

Just do me a favor, Mariners, and put up that kinda fight against the Asstros!

First Take on ESPN will be must see TV tomorrow with Stephen A visiting Cowboys training camp. Guests include Michael Irvin, Jerry Jones & the fans who were crying after last year's playoff loss. Should be high comedy. Stephen is promising a spectacular entrance. Looking forward to it. Also tomorrow I'm going to the Mariners game despite 90+ forecast. It's cheap seat day & I scored a ticket in the rattle your jewelry section (air conditioning included) for the same money that a bleacher ticket would cost today. I think tomorrow's game is being broadcast on YouTube. We're playing Cleveland. The Mariners are in a pretty intense wild card race so every game matters. Been a long time since we've been able to say that in Seattle.

Pinch me I'm dreaming. My Mariners finally did something smart. It's been a real long time. Signed rookie star Julio Rodriguez to a deal that could be for 18 years & has a potential worth of $470 million. The deal is real complicated with lots of options on both sides. The structure mitigates risks for the team in case of injury or stupidity (Tatis) while giving Julio a secure future. The agent actually came up with the basic structure. The agent is definitely not Scott Borass! It looks like one of those rare deals where both sides win. I had a feeling about this kid the first time I saw him play in person. Have noticed that he's about the only player on the team out signing autographs for kids before every game. The Mariners initially signed Julio when he was 16 & made several promises to the family such as continuing Julio's education. The team kept those promises & it is paying off now. This kid (21) looks like he is going to be the face of baseball for a long time along with Ohtani.

The pitching staff has been carrying them. It would be nice if they got more support from the bats. I'm into it but have to slow down & get real once in awhile. God knows the Seahawks are going to be horrible this year. Geno Smith? We're in deep trouble there.

I know he's had a hard time in the pros but he was shit-hot in college. I'm also terribly biased in that regard so don't take my word on it.

MLB just made a lot of rule changes for next year.

I'm all for getting rid of shifts, that's just never felt like pure baseball to me. But I'm not sold on this pitch clock thing. I guess it's fine for the meaningless regular season but playoff baseball needs the tension that can come from a pitcher controlling the pace.

Shifts have been around forever. They shifted on Ted Williams and he still hit .406 in 1941. Getting rid of them is dumb. The pitch clock is dumb too, along with the limits on pickoff attempts and stepoffs that go along with it.

Shifts have been around but they have changed so much. They used to shift for people who could only pull hit. Now, every individual player has a specific set of instructions for each hitter for where exactly to stand based on stat keeping. It's gotten ridiculous imo.

I really don't like the fact the infielders have to keep their feet in the dirt though because it will affect late game situations. I think just making the rule two on each side of second base would have been just fine. It's also always been insane to me how many pro baseball players never learned to hit a groundball to opposite field to kill the shift. I mean it's not even hard to do. At all.

Another thing that isn't getting as much mention is the change of base size. 3 inches may not seem like a lot but when you consider how many close plays there are at second, I think stolen bases will increase significantly.

    Jesus Christ, SERIOUSLY?
Every Mexican American I know, who is into American Football, is a Cowboys fan. And these AREN'T just tejanos. Idk. Maybe it's because Texas was part of Mexico, FAIRLY recently, in the grand scheme of things.

We NEED, btw, a Mexican team. We have Canadian NBA, NHL, and MLB teams.

Why not the Mexico City Aztecas?

Yeah, you know i'm not the biggest fan of "Them boys", (i discussed my reasons in page 86...) and as i said it's nothing against Texas.

As for having a Mexican NFL Franchise i'm up for it! sadly i don't think it'll ever happen and it's a shame; it's insane how popular the NFL is on here...

Yeah, "Mexico City Aztecs" sounds so much better than "Mexico City's Sobreros", lol

PS: Funny that Dallas won this week without Dak, seems they are better off without him...

Yes, it really depends on the region and the time period you became a fan, but NFL's most popular teams in Mexico are:

    - Dallas Cowboys
    - New England Patriots (now all fair-weather fans jumped to Tampa or KC)
    - Pittsburgh Steelers
    - San Francisco 49ers (Used to be a fan!)
    - Las Vegas Raiders

Yeah I was gonna say: there HAVE been a few Pats fans. And @chuckrh I've definitely seen Mexican American Raiders fans- I just don't KNOW them.

But it sucks, for real, that there's no team.
You guys get, what, ONE game a year down there? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I THINK Mexico is the second biggest NFL market.

Why do you think there will never be a team? I guess MC would be pretty far south, especially for, say, NE.

Still, we can hope for a team one day, or, JESUS, at least five or six games instead of ONE, ffs.

Edit: I "like" the Cowboys because I was raised with this ultra hardcore "root for the home team" ethos, NOT because they're good.

In fact, they MIGHT be fucking CURSED.

Also, motherfucking MAVERICKS on the 5th of October, I think.

I can't wait to see how this new roster rolls.

Jalen Brunson was never meant to be a Dallas Maverick: he went to go play for.A half ass team, for more money.

That's not what Mavs do. Dirk took LESS money to make salary cap room, and now he's in the front office.
Tyson Chandler is a coach (even after Cuban's grand blunder of splitting up the goddamn championship team).
Najera took a gig as a mavs commentator.
Juan Jose Barea was back ASAP.

Can THESE 2022 mavs make a run? I hope ao, and and I can't wait to fins out.

The Mavs are more of a team, and you won't catch any of our heroes "taking their talents to south beach" or whatever.

@henryeatscereal it's not...hmmm...it's not so much that I like the Cowboys.
It's that I fucking LOVE Dallas.

If you grew up with the MC Aztecas, would you be cheering for the Eagles?

That's how it is for me. I rock with Dallas through thick and thin, and that's that.
After they're eliminated, I'll watch someone else.

in basketball, for instance, back in the day, if Dallas lost in the playoffs, I'd go with the spurs or the rockets.
And then, finally, just the west, which meant I watched a lot of LAL games

I honestly don't WATCH every Cowboys game, because it gets depressing.
