I can't see that happening. I know Chicago is without Kane, but the Preds have been struggling lately and Chicago is still a formidable team. Chips on the table, I'm still taking Nashville, but their lack of center depth is going to prevent them from going far and they'll have to rely far too much on Rinne.

Ugh, it hurts, but they just didn't have enough. Can't wait for the armchair analysis since Boston fans have nothing better to do then bitch about their teams,

I'm watching EPL now. I'd like to see Southhampton get into the top 4 , but I think that might be statistically impossible now.

Yes!! It has arrived. NHL playoffs! I fucking love this time of the year.

I think Habs in 6 is about right. It won't be a walk in the park against Ottawa.
I agree with all your choice @icecream except for the Canucks. Flames are going through in 6.

The Habs have had a tough time against Ottawa this season. That will be a fun one to keep an eye on.

The Sedins play great against the Alberta teams. I think that can be enough to get the Canucks past them. Even if Miller doesn't start any of the games this series, Lack has been amazing. I said Canucks in 7, partially because of fan bias, but really it could go either way. I wouldn't be shocked if the Flames win it in 7.

Aaron Hernandez convicted of 1st degree murder; will be in prison for life. Shocking, I know.

Tough loss for Ottawa last night. They really dominated the Habs during the first but they kinda ran out of breath at the end. As the game advanced, their play became sloppy.
Anderson played a solid game to keep their one-goal lead throughout, until Mr. Playoffs decided to take matter into his hands.
Down 0-3. Not sure Ottawa will come back from this one. I don't wanna jinx it though.

So the Oilers won the McDavid sweepstakes.

Edit: Aaaand McLellan out as Sharks coach. I kinda liked him, but I guess this means Doug Wilson is staying on as GM.

The Ottawa/Habs and Anaheim/Winnipeg series have been way closer than the 3-0 series leads are suggesting. If anything, the Habs and Ducks should be worried about how close the games have been against teams that almost didn't make the playoffs.

^^ Truth. The Habs have needed 2 OT victories and the Ducks have overcome three 3rd period deficits to win their games, which I read is an NHL record. Wouldn't be surprised to see both of these series go another game or 2 though. That Winnipeg crowd was insane.

Ottawa went full steam in the 1st and ran out of gas. Montreal took advantage of that. If our PP wasn't so bad, the game would not have been as close.
Where Price stood up to make the saves that counted, both Anderson and Hammond allowed questionable goals in OT.
Yes, it's a close series but everyone predicted that it would be like that against Ottawa. It was THE team most fans didn't want to face in the first round.
Ottawa has caused us some problems during the regular season so we should continue being worried even if it's 3-0.
With that being said, the only thing that matters in the playoffs is getting that W, no matter how you get there.

Now, the question is not if Ottawa can beat Montreal 4 times in a row. The real question is: Will Carey Price lose 4 games in a row?

    Real answer: no.

Zdeno Chara broke his ankle blocking a shot playing against The Maple Leafs. Not that him being healthy would have got The Bruins to the playoffs. Not Trading Johnny Boychuk would have helped.

Habs sucked last night! I mean they were bad.... really bad!
When your best scoring chance is a breakaway by Prust, you're in trouble.
We had issues with getting out of our zone, our passes and our PP.
Did I say how terrible we were?

Maybe they did it on purpose to win it at home ... more money for the Molson family.

So that's two in a row. Gotta admit, I'm a little bit worried. We need to figure out Anderson.

So, the Wings are up 3-2, with a chance to close out at home on Monday. I love it when we make the "experts" at ESPN look like idiots for writing us off.

I stand by my previous post that I want to see more Scott Darling, but perhaps the playoffs aren't the best spot to go around messing with starting goaltenders. That being said, the Hawks squeaked by.

Really need to step it up regardless of if it's Minnesota or St. Louis next round.

    The Price is Right!

I should've had more faith than that. The likelihood of Price stealing a game was so high. He picked the perfect one to do so.
De Larose owns Price one with that stupid penalty with 3 minutes to go.

    On to the 2nd round!

Edit with a little prank on Price

Hopefully we get Detroit. It's not gonna get easier that's for sure.
