New band featuring Steven Wilson bassist/backing vocalist Nick Beggs, drummer Marco Minnemann and Roger King.
just for the record, it was the lateralus version i was asking about, not thurston moore's voice.
but thank you for taking the time to explain it to me
i've been listening to/watching every live bowie show i can get my hands on.
the 50th birthday show was a trip. i saw it when it came on originally, but that was a long damn time ago. it's a really cool setlist, and the special guests are awesome.
late to the led zeppelin party, but holy crow. i am so obsessed with kashmir right now. and dazed and confused. and all of my love. but kashmir is one of the most beautiful sounding songs. there are at least two parts through the song where, i swear, my soul wants to detach from my body and just fly. so beautiful.
Always loved this song, a gem of Lullabies. This remix is also my favorite QOTSA remix.... probably.
DB's gone...
"No, there is another..."
recently discovered that my amazon prime membership comes with a free music library / streaming stations (like pandora, but with UNLIMITED SKIPS). been using that a lot since iTunes radio is now paid subscription only (bullshit!). been listening to a TON of Art Blakey (& The Jazz Messengers). talk about a strong and vast catalog.
Shame all anyone knows or listens to is Should I Stay or Should I Go?

I know I'm like 6 years late to the TJF party, but I'm digging it.
Ilan freaking kills it in this one:
As the 29 Days of Bowie continues.
Ironically one of my favorites, funny as it was their initial "last album" at a point.
i don't even like eminem
Grypt
KANGA
LCC
Bryce Miller
Steve Nolan
Metal Machine Music
Tropic Of Cancer
MBV
Gavino Morretti
Vi-RES
Umberto
Burial Hex
Terror Apart
Drug Machine
Roly Porter
the first two songs on this record are amazing.
Since the thread is hot with new junk, reliving better shiz currently.
For the longest time my favorite Al Jourgensen effort has been "Psalm 69"... I've been listening to Pailhead a lot recently (his collab with Ian Mackaye from Minor Threat / Fugazi) which is DOPE aaaand I'm just now listening to Revolting Cocks' "Linger Ficken Good"... so good!
What!?!? Him and Ian. Gonna look into that.
On point, I've been pretty much on a steady diet of Doomtree's All Hands. Which amounts to me jamming out while I walk to work, the last few months. I'm a P.O.S fan I dig the others but I'm thinking I need to branch out more amongst the collective. I've seen Sims and Dessa a few times and they were good but imo their group efforts really gel in that "band" sense.
I've also had Undertow in rotation as of late as well. I'm essentially a basic bitch. Which is, besides my first intro into the band, a big reason I seem to fall back on this album every so often.

Oh MAN. Doomtree is hands down one of the best hip-hop collectives currently active. I've only seen P.O.S live, Dessa is also brilliant, but Mike Mictlan is perhaps as talented as P.O.S., if not moreso
There's a sweet interview between Ian Mackaye & Steve Albini where he finally elaborates on what the Pailhead sessions were like... Totally weird considering a junkie & the figurehead for the straight edge movement came together for an amazing record
