Also, regarding his TDS video: Danny Brown isn't art. He's a greasy meal from a Georgia truckstop vending machine that comes out as a fart, but there's some shit. Then the shit starts rapping.

He always sounds like he's trying to talk through a mouthful of someone else's teeth.

Mike Garson lost his home and studio in the fires in California. Trent shared this GoFundMe on twitter.

There's some good Danny Brown out there. I appreciate his attempt at a modern day ODB, even if he's not this amazing rapper in the "weird" category.

Interesting they don't think NIN will do Glasto...
They're actually really good, despite their name. Two super young girls who play tons of instruments. You should check them out.

Trent should release The Fragile Deviations 2 : Mike Garson sessions. And give all the money he'll make with it to the gofundme.

My friend just got me into them a couple of weeks ago -- I've been playing their latest album nonstop since then. ++ Do recommend.

Variety music for screen summit interview. Think all that's been posted on here was clips from twitter.

Great interview ! Talking about scoring with Fincher, going a bit further in the scoring process.

And Atticus is talking a lot more

I always enjoy these interviews, but at the same time, I wish the interviewers would delve a little deeper, especially when it comes to their more recent work. We've heard the story about Trent initially turning down The Social Network and composing a lot of music for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but I'd like to hear more about, say, the scores for Before The Flood or The Vietnam War.

The only good reaction videos are people reacting to 2 Girls, 1 Cup anyway.

Caught 38 of the 45. it was good. Talked about performing songs that were previously "were undrumable" and wanting to fluster Ilan but do no avail. Talked what got him out making music in the first place, talked about how Broken was in part a reaction to wanting PHM to be heavier and needing to prove that he could do it. Talked wanting people to take the time to listen to music more. Alessandro (pretty sure) talked about YZ and the current political climate. Talked about Jesus and Mary Chain, past influence and current opening. Atticus hinting at maybe new HTDA work happening after the tour. Talked about saxophone-ing and trying to figure out a good stance.

EDIT: What was the place they played that Trent said they'd never go back? Some festival?

How about this... instead of clogging up NIN spotting with them, why doesn't someone just create a new thread called "NIN reaction videos" or something. I'm sure some people here would still find them entertaining. I just don't think putting them in "NIN spotting" is doing them justice.

I think it was actually this one: http://www.nin.wiki/2018/06/29_St._Gallen,_Switzerland

That's what Atticus said, anyhow. Montreux Jazz being in a more intimate environment, it probably went over better, the open-air festival... not so much. They also played there in 2009, but I don't remember any particular bitching from TR about it then.

Here's TR speaking to the crowd about being depressed that day:
