the live show on friday (saw both movies) was amazing. even better than last year. i really wish they would record & release the live shows (film all of them and pick the best one of the tour) because some of the improvisational moments were incredible.

currently watching the pre-turkey day marathon and i'm SO FUCKING EXCITED for the new season on thursday!!!

i don't understand how or why i watched that movie so many times as a kid. it's so fucking bad and so fucking weird and the riffing was absolutely perfect.

Atlantic Rim was maybe the worst movie i've ever seen, hands down. but again, perfect riffing.

the host segments have also been fantastic so far. i love this show so much and i'm so glad we have more, new episodes.

wish i had more time to watch more today!

watched The Day Time Ended last night. what a ridiculous piece of garbage that was such perfect fodder for riffing. also, Spoiler: j. elvis weinstein showing up as larry at the end was perfect and made me so happy.

i'm gonna be making steak milk jokes for a while.

Just finished Killer Fish and man was that a godawful movie. My quote above came from it lol.

This season has been amazing. Can't believe I am already at the last episode.

I am hoping this short season means we will be getting another short season soon. Perhaps Easter time?

crow as a piranha was like the cutest thing ever, i can't get over it.

    "here's your hot pedialyte, sir."

    "nyeh heh heh heh heh."

i had to keep pausing the movie because i was laughing so hard. the only riffs that didn't land for me were the repeated fat jokes (c'mon, guys, it's great when you rag on his character's horrible personality, you don't need to keep digging in the fat joke ditch).

There's a scene in "Atlantic Rim" that has very shiny aluminium furniture and spiral staircase... I have a chair and ottoman in a very similar style (reclaimed and recycled airplane aluminium and leather... so comfy)

also; quotes like "See all those cars over there? ... Pretty nice!" have become frequent around the house. We have problems.

on wednesday night, for some reason, completely sober, my wife and i decided to do a double feature of two new(ish) rifftrax films - A Talking Cat!?! and Santa's Summer House. both by the same crew, both shot in the same house which the director has also used for SO MANY FILMS. it was also used for a scene in one of the Ass Worship series of porn films...they make a riff about it in one of the movies and i had to look it up out of curiosity. hilariously, the only comment on the page for the scene was "Holy shit! Is this the house from A Talking Cat!?!"

anyway, these movies are absolute shit, but the riffing is top notch. a bunch of the director's films are on amazon prime and we're thinking about watching more of them (though it'll be a slog without the riffing). here's his IMDB profile in case you're curious.

we rewatched Devil Doll the other night, which i think i had seen twice, but hadn't remembered just how amazing it is.

a couple days later, we rewatched Avalanche, which is definitely one of my favorite jonah episodes.

last night we watched The Screaming Skull, which both of us had only seen once. it might be one of the best "spooky black and white" movies they did. every single riff lands perfectly, and the host segments are fantastic. we were in stitches the whole time.

@MrLobster we watched it while it aired (and then watched the after-show on FB) and it was so fun. i'm bummed we missed out on the most recent tour because Emily is fantastic, and Yvonne as GPC and Mega-Synthia was hilarious. the guys doing Crow & Servo were great, too. still bummed that the crew that made the two netflix seasons (which i adore) weren't involved, because they were all perfect, but i'm glad the new crew is just about as good!
