EDIT: Here's the article if anyone is interested in the read...

as someone who sets up home theater and smaller a/v systems for a living, i can tell you that home 3D technology is just not up to par with what's available in theaters. i recently saw jurassic park in 3D and, while it was fun, i would have been happier just seeing it in the theater and skipping the 3D part.

just last week, i installed a brand new, 65", top of the line Panasonic plasma in one of my client's houses, and i used the Avatar blu-ray to test its 3D. while it looked ok (and i'm stressing that it only looked OK), it felt even more gimmicky than when i saw it in the theater. plus, the light coming in the window on the side of the room caused me to be able to visually recognize the strobing effect of the glasses, which almost made me puke because it was so disorienting.

all of this to say that i think 3D is kind of stupid. do some movies look cool in 3D? yeah. does everything? surely not. do most people care about 3D? definitely not.

call me when we have a holodeck and i can watch a fully interactive television program and become one of the characters, or when i can "attend" a NIN show but delete the rest of the audience so i don't have to get sweaty and bruised.

The guy with the really low voice that does all the movie ads..."This Friday. Nine Inch Nails like you've never seen them before! In 3D!!! Nine Inch Nails the 3D Experience. In theatres Friday. (then really quickly) A TRENT REZNOR FILM PRODUCED BY COLUMBIA RECORDS AND IMAGINE ENTERTAINMENT BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"

All this talk of a 3D NIN film reminds me of the cover for the fake Timbaland produced album with Trent wearing the Kanye Glasses! haha

I would love to see GY!BE again, but EITS are good, they're local boys, so if you miss them here, you'll have a chance to see them in a few months. I'm hoping the audience not comprised of ETS members is respectful of the opening acts. I remember the hate Deerhunter got, and I'm afraid these two bands could experience it from the dudes that just want to hear hits.
I caught the Grateful Dead reference and I don't even really listen to them

^^^ So they're just rehashing the LITS visuals? Lame.

    1) It's an ad.

    2) They haven't played a show yet so none of us know what the visuals will be like yet.

    3) Read 1) and 2) again.

Yup. I'm pretty sure that's just footage from the NIN.com release some years ago. I remember some of those shots. >_>

-Normally I like beards (or any type of facial hair), but Trent actually looks better clean shaven, he actually looks about 10 years younger than he really is in this photo.

Awesome photo overall, really pumps me up to see a live show!

How did "What does Eustis have on his head?" not make your list?

I'm well aware of the acronym for SICNH. But...

    A: there's no H in that photo,
B: why would they tease such an old and instrumentally basic track for a tour in which they've "re-imagined" the way they sound (unless they've completely reworked it), and
C: Why assume it's not a new track? Isn't half the reason for posting teasers to allude to new things?

Just a shot in the dark. I don't know how to play the song; if anyone here does I'm sure they can look at that shot and tell whether those are the notes.

Well, I didn't really think I needed to add the there, but I guess so.

It could be a G, but it looks like a C to me. Compare it with the other Cs on the page.

There is an upward curl in the C not present in the Cs on the page, the letters can form in a similar way but there's a definite variation in that letter

    Plus, SINCH's chorus doesn't repeat 4x.

I bought a ticket under my girlfriend's account with my credit card after I bought two using the same credit card under my account. The third ticket was cancelled. I'm assuming because of the same reason yours was. We needed a third ticket for my friend who will be in town and was so excited when I somehow managed to get three floors for all of us. Imagine my surprised when I woke up the next day to find one of them cancelled... I feel your pain!

I was talking to musictoday and they told me I'd have to talk to the fan club. I emailed modlife because I don't see a phone number on their site... haven't received anything back other than the initial "we've received your email and will get back to you shortly"

I ended up buying a 100 section seat for our third ticket but would love to have that third floor ticket back. =(

I'm not convinced. I did have that thought when I saw the photo, but given the depth of field and the potential for lines of the graph paper to be getting lumped in with the writing...I'm not sold on that being a "G". Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. Either way, I'm just happy to see rehearsal pics.
