only if you care what other people think, and those people are morons.

tattoos are one of the most personal things you can get, and they're no one's business but yours. if you want them, get them. just make sure you're not going to end up regretting what you get.

also, my mom, at 61, is about to get her first tattoo (of her dog's paw print).

Got my first tattoo. My camera is blurry lmao. Anyways I "designed" myself and its Finn's Sword (which his alternate self transformed into) and Princess Bubblegum's crown from Adventure Time. Yes I am hella nerd u.u But its pretty personal too . I think his childlike heroism and naivete and her willingness to carry the burdens of darkness alone make them an ideal hero together :3. My Yin and Yang.

Finally got this finished after so long of my tattoo artist being sick and then opening up his own shop, then having no cash, so was glad when my wife got me a voucher for Christmas to finally get it done

Found a nearby artist I really like (Darren Bishop) and have 90% of an idea for what I want fleshed out, but living off of student loans so tattoos don't really fit into the budget right now...

I think you have to upload somewhere then link, so you can use tinypic for free image uploading.

I have nine tattoos: my mother's name, a giant raven, a gun infused with skulls, a cross, a latin quote across the tummy, a symbol that represents "transgender", (botched) half sleeve of cherry blossoms, and a portrait of a skull in a tophat smoking a cigarette.

I -really- want knuckle tattoos, but I'm debating on taking the plunge because of employment, and because people already think I'm some prison lesbian.

another beautiful piece designed & tattooed by Allie Sider at code of conduct here in chicago

it's on the inside of my right bicep (so right below my armpit). didn't hurt nearly as much as i thought it would, but healing is going to be an awful process.

from left to right: - right lower arm
    - right inner upper arm
    - left upper arm (connects to a heart with the "bass key" my wife has on her right upper arm)

    - right shoulder (my first tat and I know that it looks unfinished, but it's the way I wanted it to be )

I wish my skin would be better at holding the ink...I tried everything but all of my tats won't heal the way I want them to.
Tried different tattoo studios, different treatments...
    bu I still love them

PS: sorry for the bad collage, but I am at work and had to use paint :P

Cruising through these makes me want to got another. Here are mine:

First one: Clarion Eagle logo, above right hip, circa 2003. Many of the alumni on the swim team had them, figure I'd restart the trend.
Next: great wave by Hokusai on right shoulder, circa 2006. Got this after falling in love with the ocean and beach lifeguarding for two summers. Now looking ahead to starting season 12.
Last one: Album art from Funeral, by the Arcade Fire, left ribs, April 2010. This was done the day after my sister's wake.
All done by a good high school friend; I'd feel like a traitor going elsewhere.

    got this today!
a portrait of my cat, captain malcolm reynolds, and the words "i know you're strong" from the weakerthans song "plea from a cat named virtue", both of which helped me through a very dark time a few years ago.
and i love the look on his face of just "...wut?" because that's how he looks at me all the time haha.

should have adjusted the contrast, because this is definitely darker than it looks.

The Black Queen logo, with embellishment by my artist, Allie Sider at Logan Square Tattoo in chicago.

So I'm 10 days into the healing process. Since these are my first, this is still a learning experience for me. I've been told it'll take 2-3 weeks to fully heal. But when exactly will I know when they are?
