Whatever lineup gets him to play somewhat damaged, sunspots, burn, last, all the love in the world, the big comedown and lights in the sky every night.

says the guy who hated the Tension tour, where almost all of those were most likely to be played.

I always thought Greg Edwards (Failure, Autolux) would be a great bass/guitar/keys role. Him, finck, cortini, freese and TR is my dream line-up.

My date had Somewhat Damaged and Burn, I'd have dealt with the rest of the HM tracks and the backup singers all night with a smile on my face if 2 or 3 more of those tracks were on the setlist.

"Dream" lineup? Billy Corgan on guitar, Danny Carey on drums, Danny Lohner on bass, Trent on everything else, Maynard James Keenan on costume detail, Murray Hewitt managing, and me delivering waters to everyone.

The thought of mutual control freaks like Billy and Trent trying to get along sounds like the greatest reality TV series of all time and I'd subscribe to any random bullshit exclusive streaming service just to see it (AOL, get on it)

While we're on that train of thought and talking about dream lineups that don't have to be realistic, may I nominate Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze as the residential Chippendale dancers?

    Trent Reznor: Vocals, Piano
    Atticus Ross: Synthesizers, Programming
    Robin Finck: Guitar, Backing Vocals
    Alessandro Cortini: Bass
    Ilan Rubin: Drums
    Josh Eustis: Synthesizers, Guitar

This is a tight lineup that still lends itself to a lot of different interesting arrangements and layers that can be added to each song.

I like it! Unfortunately, I doubt they'll tour in 2016. Here's hoping for at least a small tour in 2017, though!
