That revolver show is pretty hard to watch. But MM has always been a mixed bag live, he had his off days in every era. There were some diabolical shows in 97 and some excellent ones in 2007. Theres a video on youtube of him playing antichrist superstar in australia earlier this year which is good enough to convince me he still has it. He does need to sober up though, I get the feeling point of no return must be on the horizon here.

Was just being a smart ass. I knew what you meant, lol champ. :P

And in reply to the post above this, yeah you're right Manson has always been a "mixed bag" live. He even had a few decent shows in like 09 or 10 when he sobered up a moment/engaged to Evan and the show got a bit more theatrical. I heard him do a pretty good Devour and Coma Black a few years ago.

I saw him play in Australia at both Soundwave and a solo show. Solo show was amazing. Soundwave was terrible. He's still got it, I just think he was drunk and didn't give a fuck for Soundwave.

The album is out there somewhere. I'm not kidding. Someone drove down my road blasting it.

or they could have been playing no reflection....which is actually out officially....or they could have been playing the minute and half long clips?

Or maybe it was Manson promoting the album. I checked the usual sites and only found the fake one.

Did they have an A7X bumper sticker and a license plate that read 'SO GOTH'?

No, but they were in an old beat up truck that looked like it belonged to stereotypical rednecks. It wasn't No Reflection, it was a Manson song I've never heard before.

I wouldnt think stereotypical rednecks would have MM on their playlist... let alone being one of the first to have it...but I suppose you never know these days...

Back when I lived in Winnipeg when I was growing up and 16 years old, the rednecks used to huck beer bottles out their cars yelling "marilyn manson" at us. My how times have changed, now they have the new album and are rockin in before it's release!

Also, this one guy used to yell at us at high school in the halls all the time, he was an extreme jock, then columbine happened and he shut the fuck up after that, lol.

But you were in Winnipeg lol. In my high school back in the mid-90's when I was rockin' the NIN t-shirts only a few people made fun of it but they were listening to stuff like Much Dance haha.

to be fair, i didn't think trent's post fragile material was all that impressive. it's okay. but i only really listen to the older stuff.

that said, the live show was fucking fantastic right to the end.

To me, Nine Inch Nails just always dominate what they do.

The only mediocre release I can think of is The Slip, and that was FREE anyway. And I think Trent said most of it was written really fast when he had Discipline and a few others done.

yeah dude, no kidding! i got to see him on his last tour and he was fucking pumped up. so much so that i thought he'd been taking steroids because i didn't know he'd put on so much muscle. fat is something Trent is not. he's in great shape for his age.

All of The Slip can be forgiven because Demon Seed exists on it.

Compared to half of With_Teeth and three quarters of Year Zero, The Slip was far from mediocre. Ghosts is when it started to felt like NIN again.

This has now become a NIN thread, but I do enjoy With_Teeth and Year Zero quite a bit. I especially think that Year Zero was made a lot better with the spectacular tour that followed it. I love that album but I can see why others would dislike it, it's probably his most poppy record? And it seems to rely heavily on simple little beats, so I can see why those who love the very diverse soundscapish NIN(TDS/Fragle) would be a bit disappointed. But I enjoy them all a lot, I'm just a big NIN fan. I'd have to say, honestly, much more than I am a Manson fan..

Year Zero seemed like trent's first concept album... All the rest seem more personal to him imo...although I enjoyed YZ quite a bit more than I thought I was going to...
