Copy of A in the headphones. WOW.
Copy of A in the headphones. WOW.
Waiting for the video. *pinches self* Waiting for the video. *pinches self*
I'm pinching because it is less agonising than what it punctuates.
who else gets goosebumps when Ilan comes out and pummels his rockband drumkit at the beginning? *raises hand*
Just like the last few albums, I take the first released song with a grain of salt and then look forward to the second song released!! I'm not going to bash Came Back Haunted, but it reminded me of Discipline because of its...general appeal. I know the point of a first single is to pull in new fans and TR already has me, so I wait for that next song! I've just been listening to the youtube version, but I'm thrilled with the studio version of Copy of A!! I think I can just make these two songs last until the 3rd at this point. *no promises*
These seem to be the correct lyrics:
I am just a copy of a copy of a copy
Everything I say has come before
Assembled into something, into something, into something
I don't know for certain anymore
I am just a shadow of a shadow of a shadow
Always trying to catch up with myself
I am just an echo of an echo of an echo
Listening to someone's cry for help
Look what you had to start
Why all the change of heart?
You need to play your part
A copy of a copy of a
Now look what you've gone and done
Well that doesn't sound like fun
See I'm not the only one
A copy of a copy of a
I am little pieces, little pieces, little pieces
Pieces that were picked up on the way
Imprinted with a purpose, with a purpose, with a purpose
A purpose that's become quite clear today
Look what you had to start
Why all the change of heart?
You need to play your part
A copy of a copy of a
Now look what you've gone and done
Well that doesn't sound like fun
See I'm not the only one
A copy of a copy of a
I am just a finger on a trigger on a finger
Doing everything I'm told to do
Always my intention, my intention, your attention
Just doing everything you tell me to
Look what you had to start
Why all the change of heart?
You need to play your part
A copy of a copy of a
Now look what you've gone and done
Well that doesn't sound like fun
See I'm not the only one
A copy of a copy of a
Look what you had to start
Why all the change of heart?
You need to play your part
A copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a
Now look what you've gone and done
Well that doesn't sound like fun
See I'm not the only one
A copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a
Wow, its really really great. Its a lot different than the live version, which took me by surprise at first. I totally get the minimal thing he's been talking about now. I really think this album has the potential to be the best thing TR's done post The Fragile.
I love LOVE LOVE it! It's everything I hoped for in a modern NIN song. Listening to CBH right after has even made me appreciate that song more.
I love how it's minimal and yet there's a LOT going on in there.
I like the live version much more. This almost sounds like a demo.
Can someone create a dynamic link that varies between the real song and Nickelback?
There's this...http://www.youtube-mp3.org/
I'm sitting here sending out links, and I have to say, every link I send out makes me excited for that person's future (or at least the next 5 minutes of it) this song is like WHOA good.
Well, I refuse to grovel for a link but I really love the song. TR still has it.
Cool track, thanks for the tip.
Cool song
So, should I bother actually legitimately acquiring this if/when Amazon US has it for free at midnight, even though I've already "borrowed" it?
If it's FREE then why wouldn't you? You'd have your own legally obtained copy.
If the UK got this a day early to make up for the Scala Horror, then that is very cool indeed. Thank you.
I've been listening to this nonstop since last night.
I can't stop myself!
I wish this would be available on nin.com like Came Back Haunted is for those of us who preordered it.
edit: i have the track already, just wouldn't mind it in nice shiny apple lossless with hi-res (probably single specific) art =)

This fucker really bumps the second round of the chorus.
Like everyone else, I'm ready for this album
Fuck, this song rules! I loved the live version the first time I heard it at lollapalooza but holy shit, the studio version blows it away. His voice sounds amazing and the electronics sound so much more precise and interesting. The breakdown in the middle is unreal and the cutting of his voice during the second or third verse is very cool.
I am so excited for this album!!
Thanks again for the PM greyskies13!!
I cannot stop listening to this. Have to force myself to stop so I dont burn myself out. Its just so perfect.
Does anyone else think this isn't the next single? I feel like its more of a UK special thang. We'll see...
I can't wait to hear this....i swore I'd maintain HM abstiance following CBH, but kinda, I want too. maybe just for tonight, i can pretend it's alright
I love the "remix" vibe to this track.
Check a website that "kicks ass", for the song. (in the torrent department)
