Thanks for the tip, man. I was just making sure i was nabbing the right flick: it says 2015. I will check it out tonight i think!
And thank you too @Deepvoid . That Hell House movie was pretty damn cool. Thank you for thinking of me.
Did you guys see that Rorschach movie btw?
It's been out in some countries since last year. It's been on Irish Netflix since last year. I really didn't care for it at all.
I've been behind on most of my watching since the last two months have been crazy with college. Finished for the summer now, so I've started tackling the backlog of things to watch. Found The Belko Experiment to be a mixed bag - the middle section is oddly paced but when it's good, it's very good.
I thought The Blackcoat's Daughter was decent.
did any of you try that Rorschach movie on YouTube? I really got a kick out of it.
The Houses October Built 2!! Coming out this September VOD

I loved the first one. This should be good!
I probably mentioned this prior but I really wanna see this. Tempting blind buying the blu-ray.
Saw Noroi the other day and LOVED it.
just barely made it through kuso. the best part was the music. unfortunately i can't disassociate the soundtrack from the visuals. sadly, i'll never hear any of it again.
my wife had a terrible, goddamn near fatal seizure during that movie. At first (for like one second,) I thought she was fucking around and imitating the twitchy character.
Now the movie didn't cause the seizure in a physical way: it just so happened that that was her first epileptic seizure (and she wound up with status epilepticus going on through the next day; hence the possibility of death.)
SO, due to the Pavlovian association, we've never finished the movie.
Perhaps that shit really IS cursed.
Annabelle Creation is at 100% fresh on RT right now. Maybe it's not totally shitty after all.
This is from the pilot episode of Night Gallery, Rod Serling's post-Twilight Zone show. Really fun, suspenseful. Rich nephew kills his uncle and his uncle's paining of a cemetery keeps changing.

Not a movie, but a podcast:
I've been listening to Mick Garris' Post Mortem podcast. The man himself is a legend (The Stand, anyone?) and he has very thoughtful discussions with other horror filmmakers. It's great!

Double post, but *shrug*.
Lately...
Jordskott - Swedish TV show that's basically a Scandi-noir mixed with horror elements. It's pretty good. I believe Shudder carries it in the States.
Pieces - Loved it, a classic slasher b-movie.
What Have You Done to Solange? - average giallo. It's okay but not amazing.
It Stains The Sands Red - I'd recommend this. An interesting take on the zombie movie.
The Devil's Candy - good music, nice atmosphere yet there's something missing. Worth a watch.
I saw the new Annabelle movie yesterday. I thought it was really good. Very, very scary.
Phoenix Forgotten was a good found footage movie: well acted, written and paced.
It just wasn't that SCARY.
But it's worth a watch for sure.
That was a Quebec produced movie. Shot in Montreal with local actors. Their accent was bugging me at first. It was good but agree that it wasn't scary. CGI was good for a small budget movie.
edit: scratch that! Wrong movie. I was thinking of The Gracefield Incident. Check it out if you can.
Have any of you seen a movie called Be My Cat: A Film for Anne?
I've heard rave reviews but can't find it ANYWHERE
I just watched The Transfiguration and I highly recommend it.
Also, Hell House LLC is very good.
Tobe Hooper passed away. Another legendary horror director leaving us. Damn..
He had an amazing body of work, but Invaders from Mars is my favorite. As a kid, it really freaked me out, the idea that you can't trust adult, the teachers, and even your parents...
While it's (intentionally) campier than the others, it deserves to be talked about every time there's a conversation about the great 80s remakes such as The Fly, The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Or at least when The Blob comes up
