Long time no post.
I pre-ordered the "exclusive 2,500 copies" version of the Blade Runner 2049 vinyl soundtrack back in October.
It eventually arrived in January, complete with a customs charge, making it a pretty expensive purchase. In the meantime in the run up to Christmas I had to walk past the non-limited (but otherwise almost identical: slightly different cover art) all over the place and pretty cheap for a double album. The numbering is a cheap looking foil pressing on the back as pictured.
The "vinyl exclusive tracklist" basically just means the regular tracklist minus the licensed copies of the Frank Sinatra and Elvis tracks. I was cynical enough to predict this, so I don't miss them. But I still feel a bit like a chump. I always do when I spring for some "limited" product. and I always say, Never Again!
I really dislike buying new vinyl and having manufacturing defects. I don't mind if it looks like it has scratches... I do mind if my stylus is trying to jump into another groove... Quality control would be nice.
david bowie - scary monsters

I picked up Emotive by A Perfect Circle the other day. Black Vinyl gatefold packaging. I actually am not a fan of this record at all, but there was going to be that hole in my collection between Thirteenth Step and Eat the Elephant that just would just drive me fn crazy.
MEGA POST INCOMING! @eversonpoe @kleiner352 @Prettybrokenspiral @elevenism
This is what I said a few pages back that people here would love. I got EVERY color variant version.

porcupine tree - deadwing
2017 steven wilson remaster, 2xLP on 180g clear vinyl
khemmis - absolution
picked this up when i saw them last friday (along with their second album). my wife and i listened to it today while cleaning which was hilarious, because we were both like "yeah, it's like being the woman on the cover, riding a horse made of fire to go see that wizard!" while we're vacuuming dust off shoes in our front hall closet.
Preorders are up for The Midnight's "Nocturnal" album. Probably one of the best synthwave albums I've heard in a few years.

Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss (Transclucent Blue Vinyl, LE to 1000 copies)
finally found a reasonably priced fragile deviations ($40 + $5 shipping, brand new and in NM condition) on discogs to get for my friend who i gave the fragile for his b-day. haven't decided if i'm going to give it to him as a gift or just be like "here, pay me back whenever"
I wanted to compare this new 12" of Psalm69 to the 10" I have... and Houses of the Mole I just wanted (and it sounds AWESOME! Vocals and samples pop out more and a smooth balance for the rest. Still not very bass heavy).

I just moved back to ventura. And I just unloaded 10 Boxes of vinyl into my new place. I wondered why I dealt with this. then I unpacked it all and put them in their shelves. and put some on. and then I remembered.
