Nice. Totally off topic, what’s up for the plexi glass on your shelves? Cat or kid proof?

Haha, yup, my bastard cat. He loves chewing on plasticy stuff. Caught him chowing down on the outer sleeve of my Reznor/Ross Halloween single a few years ago and had to figure out a solution.

did they do a new pressing or is it an original? i ask because i have an original and it's the same color. also my favorite album by them <3

have i told you i have one of the test pressings of the tropic rot? no artwork, no labels. one of my prized possessions. if you ever die, i promise it's yours.

    Oh, you've told me.

I'm not sure if it's a repress or not, but it's this one. Also my favorite despite the fact I don't think it's their best.

I want that (TDTWWA) just for the cover artwork (though I'm not sure I can justify the purchase since there's only 3 tracks). I always loved that image and the way the logo and title are incorporated. It was also the first release that I eagerly anticipated after becoming a fan and buying up the rest of the catalog.

Waiting for the uturn orbit custom I've ordered weeks ago is one of the hardest waits I've ever had. At least I've had time to prepare things, like get an audio rack. Can anyone recommend an antistatic carbon brush?

I'm not a fan of carbon brushes; I've tried a few, but shelved them all pretty quickly - they shed, or (worse) mark the vinyl. For removing dust and other debris before playing I use the velvet pad from this kit (dry, mind, I don't use the solution):

    https://www.audio-technica.com/en-gb/at6012

Tonar also have a similar velvet pad:

    http://w.tonar.eu/index.php?action=a...up_id=&lang=en

I let the record spin a couple of times while lightly pressing the pad to the surface, then stop the platter and remove the pad. This then leaves a line of dust and debris which I sweep off with one of these:

I've used this one on every single record I've played since 2018 and never had any issues.

Let me know what you think! I've been rocking my shitty Numark TT-1510 since like 2003 (it actually doesn't sound half bad), but now that I'm "all grows up," I've been long-considering upgrading to something better.

I had The Perfect Drug platter 2 previously (I wanted the Aphrodite mix...)but I felt it was time to grab the other two... and since I couldn't find 1 and 3 by itself easily... well, all three for me.

    And the new Cevin Key...

it was exactly what was needed for today... one of my favourite singles. Always reminds me of Doom/Quake.

Woh! That looks in great shape - I think the few copies I've seen have all had stickers that went a bit yellow and translucent from the glue. Was it from Discogs?

In the same boat. I am eager to hear this thing. Never had a good table before.

Finally got my copy of Babalon by Andrew W.K. It's pretty cool. Autographed on the sleeve and on the 3-D glasses, #105 of 393. The labels are misprinted saying that playing speed is 33RPM but it's a traditional 45. The b-side is pretty nice.

That warm, fuzzy feeling you get when all the records you've been waiting on from days to months arrive the same day.

I'm not sure. One part of me wants to keep them as mint as possible but another wants to jump into the madness of the 3-D. ... I might give it another day or two to think about it.

I loved H*R back in the day, but I think I'd have a hard time listening to an entire album of Strong Bad singing. Haha.
