Anyone found a good place to but the Thirteenth Step re-issue? From Banquet Records it'll cost me $66 or I could grab it off ebay for $55?

    Colored vinyl: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/a-per...tep/550301-01/

Even after shipping from UK it's still cheaper. That's where I usually get all my MOV releases.

what's with the two different versions released a month apart? both 180g, one's colored, but the other was released on virgin, not MOV, and is $10 cheaper.

That's only differences that I know of, the ones you just pointed out. I'd probably go with the cheaper one. It's officially released by the record label itself anyway...

I grabbed the MOV press because I'm a sucker for pretty wax. Plus, their quality is always top notch as they try to source the material from the highest quality available to them.

Spun it this morning and it's a great pressing IMO.

Found an unopened copy of the Mondo release of the Coraline OST for £18, and it was the splatter variant!

Also, does anyone else just impulsively buy coloured and clear vinyl if it's cheap, just because it's pretty.

Almost every album with colored/clear vinyl in my collection is a direct result of that.

went to pre-order the new circa survive album today on shop radio cast (there were basically no vinyl pre-order options from any of the merch sites listed on the official circa survive website) and had forgotten i had a $35 credit, so i basically got it for "free" and i still have $2 of credit left

I know that clear is of course better for fidelity, but really I just like shiny things. Bought an Owl City LP once because it was on coke bottle green, soooo gorgeous.

If it wasn't for the shitty audio, I'd have a lot of picture discs too probably

I really enjoy this thread. Just started collecting in August. I'm finding it immensely enjoyable to put on an album & listen to the whole thing in one go. Have a beer or a rum or a toke after work & just listen & relax. I'm starting to rediscover a lot of the music that I enjoyed when I was younger. I usually buy used, unless something new catches my eye. In the last 2 week, I've added:

    Van Halen - 1984 (u)
    R.E.M. - Fables of the Reconstruction (u)
    ON-USound - Depeche Mode Mega Mix 1990 (u)
Jimmy Page vs Albert Lee - Who Rocks It Better? (n)
Thin Lizzy - The Passionate One (n, on clear vinyl)
    INXS - Kick (u)
    Neil Young - Everybody's Rockin' (u)
Wings - Wings Greatest (u, with poster)

Well fuck. I don't have anything from this press (which is unusual considering how few presses exist these days) but I've heard few good things about them

GTAV soundtrack is up for pre-order. Less expensive than I was expecting! Pretty cheap for a colored 6-disc set, too.

My latest purchases are as follows:

PRIMUS and The Chocolate Factory Promo Package - Bought this at Amoeba in Hollywood during their charity auction two weekends ago. I'm not a huge fan, but I figured the novelty of the promo kit was kinda cool.

Ministry: The Mind Is A Terrible Thing to Taste - Limited Edition out of 1000 on gold wax.

and lastly, my pre-order of the new Foo Fighters LP came in with the Seattle cover. Those of us who did the pre-order through the Foo's site were given this cool cardboard flexi that contains a cover of Roky Erickson's "Two-Headed Dog" - This was a neat surprise since none of us knew we were getting it
