I still like Pink Cellphone. That beat is awesome. FIGHT ME.

Y'all must be British or something.

I like Pink Cellphone as well. I also love Lucky You and Teenager. We haven't gotten a weird Deftones electronic track in a while.

I'm gonna do it a bit differently, I'll include Chino's other work and some I dicators of movement from what I remember about my last dozen lists which can be found every 5-10 pages in this thread.

    -Team Sleep
    -Around the Fur ^
    -Deftones ^^
    -Palms
    -Like Linus
(Eros goes here if most of it is like "Melanie")
    -Diamond Eyes ^
    -Saturday Night Wrist vv
    - Gore vv
(A bunch of leaked, unreleased Team Sleep shit goes here)
    - KONY v
    -Adrenaline
(Eros goes here if most of it is like "Smile")
    -White Pony
    -Crosses

Somewhere over the last couple of years my tastes gravitated towards heavier, rawer Deftones, and my affection towards Gore and SNW ultimately found themselves taxed by the lackluster production, especially on Gore. These are all great albums, but I found that ATF just gels. It's the right thing at the right time. S/T has a sort of raw anger to it I really appreciate. And as the production became something I valued a little more, diamond eyes rised up. That of course doesn't apply to Like Linus, which I've always loved, and would love to see if they could successfully revisit those tracks.

Team Sleep is probably a more inventive, forward thinking album than a lot of Deftones albums. It still manages to be pretty far ahead of it's time.

I recently started listening to Quicksand, an I was struck by howuch that sound has in common with past and present Deftones. Maybe in a future list, I will include them as well, why not

    Top five songs:

    -Doomed User
    -Goon Squad
    -When Girls Telephone Boys
    -Rats
    - BQAD

I don't think I could decide on a favourite songs list, they're all good! Each record has its fair share of awesome moments.

I've always loved how SNW ends though. Combat, Kimdracula and Rivière are absolute gems.

    My album list:

    1. Self-titled
    2. Around The Fur
    3. White Pony
    4. Koi No Yokan
    5. Diamond Eyes
    6. Gore
    7. Saturday Night Wrist

Self-titled is far and away number one, 3-5 are a toss up, Gore is a bit behind and SNW is miles behind, I honestly haven’t listened enough to Adrenaline to place it in the list. SNW is the crazy album that some seem to love or hate, it’s amazing. I think it’s a total mess, you can feel their tension in a bad way, some stuff seems rushed and Serj is easily my least favorite moment of any Deftones track ever, BUT I like that some of you swear by it. I want Eros so bad it hurts.

One of my top 2 or 3 Deftones songs. So beautiful and so depressing at the same time. Tear in my eye job if it catches me in a certain mood. It is a revolving list so I can never pick a favourite. Maybe by album, but not overall.

This thread necromancy has got me on a real Deftones buzz though. I haven't been fixated like this in months. Currently thinking of listing my favourite tune from each album. Even that is tough.

Actually, Anniversary is Chino's favorite song. He said he was most proud of that one and Digital Bath

I wasn't aware of that, but I'm not surprised he is proud of it. It is wonderful. Ok I'm going to do the favourite track by album, not that anybody will agree on this either..

    Adrenaline: Fireal

    Around The Fur: Mascara

    White Pony: Knife Prty

    Deftones: Anniversary..

    Saturday Night Wrist: Kimdracula

    Diamond Eyes: 976 Evil

    Koi No Yokan: Goon Squad

    Gore: (L)MIRL

All subject to change, but right now, I'm happy enough with this list. Must make a playlist of it now and go for it.

i like this idea better than just ranking albums! also, funny that our favorites are the same for the first couple and then diverge.

    around the fur: mascara

white pony: knife prty / digital bath (tied)

    deftones: deathblow

    snw: beware

    kny: tempest

    gore: phantom bride

Hah, this thread has spawned another top ten list. Love it.

    Adrenaline - Birthmark

    ATF - Mascara

    White Pony - Teenager

Deftones - Anniversary and Battle Axe

SNW - Beware (Fuck this was hard)

SNW and Deftones were the hardest here for me to decide as always.

Don't like Adrenaline so I won't include it. And weirdly enough I can't think of anything from Koi and Gore. Only heard them a few times.

Around The Fur - Dai The Flu
    White Pony - Rx Queen
    Deftones - Battle Axe
    Saturday Night Wrist - Mein

currently listening to the 180g pressing of Around The Fur (don't know why it took me so god damn long to pick it up) and i apparently forgot just how much i love this album. i think deftones give me goosebumps more consistently than any other band in existence.

Yes - there are two masters of it that you can find.

The first is on the Change single and is just called Crenshaw. The guitar is the most noticeable difference.

The second is on the B-Sides and Rarities collection and it's called Crenshaw Punch / I'll Throw Rocks At You. Again, the guitar is the most noticeable difference.

Both songs are exactly the same - they're just mastered differently. For some reason, I remember a time when the band denied that Crenshaw had been made available anywhere else before B-Sides, which I thought was weird since I had that Change single.

This will be fun/hard. Can't just choose 1 but I'll play along:

Adrenaline: Root/Engine No. 9 (the live version from BQAD single with other song interlude is awesome)
Around the Fur: Head Up / BQAD (depends on mood)
White Pony: Knife Prty / Passenger (depends on mood)
    Deftones: Bloody Cape
Saturday Night Wrist: Combat - Kimdracula (an amazing 1-2 punch and highlight of album)
    Diamond Eyes: Risk
Koi No Yokan: Leathers / Gauze (depends on mood)
    Gore: Geometric Headdress
    B-Side: Crenshaw
    Cover: No Ordinary Love

Ugh. My favorites from every album change over time. Ask me 5 years ago it would have been totally different.
