I dunno. It was the ARG. Everyone was paranoid, and finding/manufacturing meaning in every little thing. There were a bunch of new users, and games are sometimes known for sending people in to advance the game if it's stuck. Had to come into work today for a two hour meeting. Which sucks, but we only have to come in on Saturdays for these meetings once every three months so that's not too bad. They originally scheduled it for three hours, then cut it down to two. Turns out it only lasted an hour. So by 9:00 I had my entire weekend in front of me. Awesome.
Also, on the way home from said meeting I finally bought my first pair of women's jeans.And they were on sale for $11!

Seriously, it's impossible for me to be in a completely shitty mood when the Godfather of Soul is playing. Sure, I may still feel bad when listening to Get Up Offa That Thing or Super Bad, but it's noticeably less than before. I have a natural distrust of anyone who doesn't immediately smile or start dancing around when he comes on. I can't even tell you how many times I've made a total ass of myself out in public when he's on the loudspeakers in a store.

I feel like I've finally gotten a grip on myself and my drinking is now under control (i.e. not drinking at all), and my relationship with my partner is back where it used to be/needs to be.
I also got a pay rise and a bonus added in last Friday.
Very happy, and I'm taking far less prescribed pills than I usually do/used to (hence my post here).
Now all I need to do is not screw up anymore and maintain this happiness.

As for things that cheer me up - being warm when it's really fucking cold. One of the many small things I like about winter.
