I'm happy that I haven't had to unfollow anyone over "Gamergate." Some might say I'm living in an internet echo chamber, but I prefer to believe I have excellent taste in people.

Heh...I've been on the opposite side of that. I had a third cousin (seriously, pretty sure it was third) who was bitching about the girl scouts letting in transgender girls and I was like, you know, I barely know you and if you have a problem with trans* people, I don't need you in my life. It felt kind of good. Heh. Not that it was a huge deal or anything but it was kind of a nice little thing.

One of my two BFFs just called and said she bought her plane ticket to come visit from November 15th - November 20th. I am shitting my pants. She has kept saying she's going to come visit. But now that she has actually purchased the tickets, that changes everything! omg. Two weeks away.
Now I just have to like... plan stuff for us to do. Haha. I don't really get out too much.

I deleted my Facebook account entirely, as well as my Twitter account, and it made me feel fantastic. I now only use Instagram to follow cooking and travel and garden and "happy" zen things. Soooooo good.
edit: For instance, Instagrams of this little boy Beau and his dog Theo taking their daily nap together cheers me up every day

i don't have to be at the theater for opening night of the play tomorrow (though i do have to go there during the day to work on a few things), so i finally get to see my wife for the first time since late sunday night (when we got in a fight). we are going to eat pizza, drink sangria, and either watch Clue, Dark & Stormy Night, or Paranorman.

My boyfriend's cat. She must be 12 years old , barely 6 pounds, all black and completely skiddish. She doesn't like to be picked up and won't sit on your lap. A couple of nights ago, I was asleep and she came up and lay on me. Not next to me, not at my feet (which is something she will do), but right on my lap.
