Finding out it was merely a technological issue causing me and the guy I'm dating to have abruptly ending text conversations. He was not just getting annoyed and dropping the conversation. The stupid networks don't like delivering texts to each other. *whew* I really like him, so knowing he likes me made my day!

Talking to my plant and realising it's just over a year ago it was bought for me, and just over a year ago I was certain I would murder it within day's. Think it's time for me to get a dog.

Even if my 12 year old liked fish sticks, there's no way he'd eat 8! That's quite an appetite!

As for my own cheeriness, my coworker, not a NIN fan, nicknamed me "Demon Seed" last night. I giggled and sang the song to him the rest of the night. He seemed perplexed that this amused me so much.

i've been on this kick lately of having folks over for dinner/movies/games, etc. lately, since we've more or less finished renovating our new apartment. i'm still pretty much a slave to the nightlife (djing and playing in bands and such) but i've been seeking out these quieter, more "real" moments lately and it's helped balance me quite a bit, and i find myself enjoying them more and more by the day. hoping to make a slow transition to the boring couple lifestyle over the next few years...

also: the little songs the missus sings about plants and cats and such. moments of zen.

The binge-eating drive I've been on lately is finally over. I've only totalled 900 calories so far today and even this cheese *motions to babybel* is an effort to chomp down on.

Oh god yeah, i am in no way responsible enough for a dog yet. I'd just use it to abandon all other responsibility in life in favour of speaking to it in a baby voice and letting it lick my face all day.

Last night some Jesus People (I have no idea what they actually were or what their purpose was) were walking through Soho with a statue of The Virgin Mary, and one of them ran up to me and gave me a free necklace. With Jesus on it. I don't believe in Jesus's existence necessarily, but it made me happy.

My aunt offered to pay for me to rent a car to use over the holidays, as mine is a piece of shit. I found a GREAT deal online via Kayak/Priceline. Mid-size SUV (Toyota Rav4, Ford Escape, etc) for 10 days and unlimited mileage = $225. Total. No other fees, etc. Pretty stoked!

First day off after seven in a row! Slept until 4:15. And I could've slept even longer, I think. Been so tired lately.

Been not able to get to D&D for a couple sessions within this past month due to personal reasons, and you know what - it's fine with me. We all roll the most fucking 1's I have ever seen.

Last night was the worst. We rolled the most 1's I think we ever have, maybe.

What also cheers me up? I don't have to leave for work for another hour. 10am work days > 4:45/6am.

We may have enough bands in our database at work to warrant "wizard rock" as a genre listed on our website.

Be glad it's not your DM rolling 20s. Had a DM attack me with a spider, rolled 20 to hit, 20 to confirm, 20 to confirm that. Fuckin instagib'd.

Nah, I'm straight. Good catch, though. I also have a glass of Pinot Noir. And the kiddo with the bottomless stomach is taking a nap (he sleeps a lot). My Christmas decorations are up. Right now, I'm working on freeing my mind of worries.

Receiving presents for Christmas, and giving them at times too. Watching Seinfeld every now and then still seems to cheer me up as well.

I'm sure this has to count. I don't believe that there can ever be too many NIN fans on ETS or NIN.com. I like being able to promote both forums to any NIN fans I encounter IRL that haven't heard of either forum.

Oh yes, and waking up after being well-rested. I just love how clear and relaxed my mind can get.
