After loving the first one, my excitement for the sequel has immediately dropped substantially with the PG-13 news. Totally defeats the purpose of these movies, for me at least.
Pretty hypocritical of Norris for him to take that stance now, he's done a plethora of R rated movies especially during the 80s...and into the early 90s what the hell happened to him is he a fucking prude now or what?

Interesting, yeah I've definitely not read into who he is as a person much (just pulling up his wiki now) but i guess that would explain it then.
Well I'll be damned...still kinda puts a damper on things with the movie though. Why even sign up for something you know would be the kind of movie that the first one turned out to be? if he doesn't like it he should have turned it down or left, now Stallone goes along with watering down some of the characters that we've come to know just so that some kids can see it on behalf of Norris.

Sly says the violence is still there. What I don't get is how Norris is against fuck words, but OK with kids watching extreme violence.

If I recall correctly nothing was so violent to push the fiorst one to an R rating anyway, it was probably all language. I think it's worth it to have norris...

Expendables 2 will be R-rated.

AAAAaaannnd it was awesome. Getting 4 hours sleep was totally worth seeing this last night. IMO, it was better than the first, and I loved the first. A lot of good one liners, good humor, and if the opening scene doesn't blow you away (quite literally), then there's no way you can say you like action movies.

Very cool movie, not sure that it was better than the first but it was definitely awesome. I wonder what the deal is with Jet Li only being in the beginning though.
I was wondering that myself. It didn't feel like the film was missing anything by his absence, which doesn't say much to his character, but it was weird how he was gone after the opening scene.
I was hoping for a higher box office for the opening weekend. I would love to see at least one more movie, and I think it's safe to say that if it doesn't do well domestically, the chances of part 3 are slim. And please, I'm not being all 'MERICA about this, I'm just stating the obvious. If it cost $100 million to make, and pulls in $160 million (but only $60 is in the US), chances are the studio will be pretty reluctant to pay for another.
