The Odd Soul Tour is about ready to launch, and is supposedly going to be their biggest tour yet. They said they'll be doing 25 songs a night, Odd Soul in it's entirety, and plenty of older classics. I've got VIP passes to the KC date. It'll be my 6th time seeing them live and I couldn't be more excited.

Here's the tour trailer, previewing what the stage show will look like:

I'm seeing them in LA on the 2nd!
Odd Soul in its entirety?? SICK can't wait to hear the awesome new sound live. Especially songs like Calvaries and Prytania. It will be my 4th time seeing them. Such a brilliant group.

I'm fucking psyched to hear all of Odd Soul live! I think it's a great album (which I was scared wouldn't be the case after hearing the title track for the first time). As far as older tracks go, I just hope they play "Picture" - it's my favorite from their self-titled and it's not even on the "Flesh and Bones Electric Fun" DVD. I could do without Typical, too. Besides that, bring it on. Looking forward to checking out the opener, Canon Blue, as well.

Yeah I'm hoping for Picture and definitely Peculiar People.

I saw them on the Odd Soul Introduction tour last year, and the new stuff sounds AMAZING live. Instead of the usual Reset/Break The Same ending, they played Reset like in the first 20 minutes of the show, and then for the ending, they did the first 3 minutes of Break The Same and the abruptly cut into Quarantine. It was phenomenal. Plus they opened the show with Prytania, and walked through the crowd up to stage. Here's a video that I filmed of it:

One of the best bands to come out of NOLA!

I know it's a song most people are tired of, but I thought it was pretty cool when they recreated their video Typical live for Jimmy Kimmel:

Oh man, yeah that was so awesome. I remember being so excited that they were going to be doing that. I also remember being really excited when they were on Jimmy Kimmel the FIRST time, when Paul broke his original key tar. Remember that? Then he ended up ripping it apart like, 2 weeks later when they filmed the actual Typical video.

Break the Same and Quarantine back to back? I might not make it out alive. So glad to hear they didn't get rid of the Armistice outro! Le fawk! Less than 48 hours away now .

    Edit:

I'm really liking this new single. Didn't care much for their last two albums. Was a huge fan of the first though. Saw them live in their early years and they were pretty amazing.
I'll definitely give the new album a chance. This songs has a Friendly Fires vibe, which I dig.

Yeah the new song is alright. It's definitely a step in the right direction towards going back to their sound on the first album. I just really miss Greg's guitar tones and such.

New album is out there and it's fantastic. They completely ditched their "indie" sound and went back to their electronic roots.
In fact, it's pretty much a full-blown electronic record.
It definitely doesn't have catchiness the self-titled album had but overall, the writing is a lot more interesting, for lack of better words.
Stratosphere blew my mind. My favorite after a first listen.
As I stated in my previous message, the more up-tempo songs clearly have a Friendly Fires vibe.
    Vitals is an amazing instrumental.

    Solid album overall
