    Every character of this show getting flak now because? It’s been on the air for nearly 30 years and no one ever complained about any character. If I’m honest, Apu is one of the more sensible and hardest working characters on the show and I in no way feel he is a racist stereotype. He has a backstory, a good work ethic, a family and well written story episodes (Homer and Apu, etc). I feel it’s preposterous.

    If he was a racist stereotype he’d be a throwaway character with no purpose than Kwik-e-Mart cameos.
