    For once, they never actually announced any future recording writing/recording plans until maybe last year or so, whereas Tool have been in writing mode since 2010(?)

    Rammstein added new photos on Facebook of them in the studio with the caption "work in progress"
    Awesome.

    I know. Between Rammstein, tool and system of a down, I wonder who's gonna be first to release a new album. Seems like too many bands are joining the "decade long" club for releases these days. And I thought being a NIN fan in the 90s waiting 5 yrs between records was bad. 5 years seems like a breeze in comparison now. I'm just happy we're getting at least 1 more Rammstein record now, they're all getting older. I'm guessing they got 1 more in them and then a final world tour to go out with a bang.

    I'll pretend I never saw those.
    As far as I'm concerned, they're recording in full touring makeup with flamethrowers, dildos and machetes scattered around.

    I'm really hoping for a surprise fall release. But, I don't know how far they are along. I'm not really sure how long these things take.
    If anything, I'm guessing we'll have at least a single before the end of the year and maybe a spring 2019 release at the earliest.

    So, worst case scenario, this time next year we might have a new R+ record in our hands.

    That was the strangest shit ever, lol.

    I remember when "Pussy" dropped all over the internet back in 2009. I was visiting a friend in California at the time and was using their computer to get my daily internet fix.
    I remember going to watch the video while they were in the shower or something, lol... Hopefully they never checked their search history.

    Tons of news guys.

    Rammstein will be playing 2 concerts in Puerto Vallarta ON THE BEACH ringing in the new year on Dec 31st and Jan 2nd.
    However... that's not all...

    At this time, the band is in the final phase of the production of their seventh studio album which will be released before the end of the year, so Mexican fans will very likely be the first to hear the new songs, also highlighting that these concerts are the ONLY that the band opened in the whole world during 2018.
    Guys... new friggin Rammstein music THIS YEAR!!!!! THIS YEAR!! Holy shit! I didn't think we were going to get the record until 2019 at the earliest...

    I'm still gonna do it. You don't have to buy one of those crazy VIP hotel packages. You can get the General Admission ticket for $225US or the VIP for $395US. I am assuming the price is for both shows and not each? If it's each, yeah... not worth it. But if it's $225 for 2 shows, that's like $112.50 each. That's not that bad for this once in a life time experience.

    But even if you don't want to do this... the take away that every fan should be stoked for is... new record guys! New record by the END OF THE YEAR!!!! We will have new Rammstein music within 6 months!! Let that sink in for a second.

    the $ 225 prices are for one show

    Yeah, the best part is the new album and tour, I will wait to the tour to see them , maybe at the end of 2019 or 2020
    I really like the idea of a concert at the beach but this is more for real fans , one lifetime experience

    So, update on that mega beach party thing in Mexico.

    All the premium packages sold out and there are just a few General Admission tickets left. However... more interesting, the "they will be preforming songs from the new album" part has been removed from the description. Here is an article about it. Head up, the article is in German, but I translated it for you below.

    http://www.morecore.de/news/rammstei...n-diesem-jahr/

    What Rammstein fans were looking forward to in June of this year, when it became known over detours that this year we are supposedly
    expecting a new album. By the way, included. While primarily supporters in Mexico were allowed to enjoy two appearances by the
    band on New Year's Eve 2018 and New Year's Eve 2019, the ticket provider Stubhub in his announcement announced the following:

    "Currently the band is in the final stages of producing their seventh studio album, which will be
    released before the end of the year. The Mexican fans will most likely be the first to hear the new songs,
    especially as these concerts will be the only ones the band will be in 2018. "

    The waiting time for new material from Rammstein could be delayed

    Well, whatever it may be, but by now the passage mentioned above is missing. Now it says on the ticket order page only as follows:

    "The Best German Band of All Time Returns" on June 27th through STUBHUB website.

    So highlighting these concerts are the ONLY that the band opened in the whole world during 2018. "

    Since we know that we were not drunk when we saw the passage right there in the course of the announcement,
    only two guesses remain up-to-date:

    1. The management of the band has had the album-related part subsequently removed as it was not yet intended for the public.

    2. This year, we do not expect a new album, because a.) Time is no longer feasible for the band or
    b.) Because from the beginning was never communicated with Stubhub that should be so.

    Whatever it is; we will hopefully find out soon.

    It seems to enjoy a full on experience from bands of yesteryear, you need to be rich to do it.

    That was a weird choice of location and a really WTF moment for me when I've read the news.
    Here's hoping they return next year with a proper tour date. They only played here once, in 2010 during LIFAD tour and skipped Belarus on all subsequent Made in Germany/Greatest Hits tours.

    I've been listening to a lot of their older stuff today (crazy to think that LIFAD is coming up on its 10 year) and I have to say that it's held up pretty well over the years. I can't wait to see them live again and hope they support the new album with a US tour!

    So, looking like 2019 is the year for the new record after all according to an interview with Paul recently.
    Says it'll probably drop in the spring. Had a feeling it was too good to be true that we would have the new record by the end of the year.
    Maybe a single at the very least by the end of the year would be nice.

    Spotted in Germany:

    Looks like these are adds for a tour that is on the horizon. So May 27 and 28 in... whenever the heck this place in Germany is, lol.

    Richard was interviewed by the German radio station Rock Antenne. In addition to talking about the new Emigrate album, he gave details about Rammstein's new album and the band's schedule:
    • The new album is produced by Rich Costey, an American producer who has worked with Muse, Rage Against The Machine, Franz Ferdinand among others;
    • The album will be mixed in November in Los Angeles. Richard will be participating in the mix for two weeks;
    • From January, the band will focus on the next tour. Till is back at the gym to be in good physical condition;
    • The band would like to tour for 3 or 4 years. The future is uncertain then. Richard thinks the band could end his career after the tour;
    • The atmosphere is excellent at the moment within the band, as it was during the early years;
    • Richard is working on a book with a publisher advised by Jonathan Davis from Korn.

    This is all exciting. Seeing them in 2011 was one of my favorite concert-going experiences ever. I'd sort of accepted they might not be a thing anymore, so I'd definitely love to get another album and show before they hang it up (if that is indeed the plan).

    They are defiantly the best live act around. People know I am obsessed w/ Nails, but when people ask me the best concert I've seen live, it is easily Rammstein. I've seen then 7 times now. Saw a couple of them down in California in 2011 in Oakland and LA, I bet we were at the same LA show in 2011. That was a good show, but the year that followed I'd say was their best one, for the Made in Germany tour. They had the small stage at the back and the bridge that lowered and the band walked across from the main stage to the back, that was awesome. I was also lucky enough to see them in Toronto in 2001 before they blew up to the level they are at now. Saw them at the docks, a small nightclub with a capacity of only 1,500. They couldn't do half the pyro they wanted due to the regulations of the building roof being too low, but it was still an epic show to see.

    I can't help but get the feeling this is probably going to be their last record/tour though. I'm just happy we're getting 1 more record though. Back in 2003/2004 they all threatened to break-up and we're talking about Rosenrot being their final record, but then LIFAD came out and it's been so long since a record, everyone thought they were done. I'm glad they're giving it 1 more crack at the whip though. I can see them retiring Rammstein as a studio band after this record, but I bet they'll still play 1-off shows now and then. They're too big of a band to completely hang up the Rammstein hat for the world to see.

    Whole bunch more "Secret locations" were revealed today. I think they're all in Europe though.

    I think this is what we have so far:

    European dates are out. Apparently it's a stadium tour. Sounds pretty epic. I'd love to see them at a stadium. Sounds like they might have some big tricks up their sleeve.

    Dates fall between May and August. Pretty big gaps in between.
    Go to https://www.rammstein.de/en/tickets/...Q_q0tvV34u6gZg to see the dates.

    Ah the joy of being a Rammstein fan... now the shit show starts again with trying to get tickets. At least this time some official distributors are in it as well and not only the Rammstein fan-sale. Hope the servers stay up on Monday and Thursday but I guess chances are slim as always. In the end, I plan to hit the Berlin show and Munich of course.

    Let the madness begin!

    I'm just so happy this means US dates are probably a certainty within the next couple of years. They were the first band I remember seeing live videos of and being blown away by back in middle school, so the chance to finally see them is going to be too good to pass up. I remember Till's whole "retire at fifty" thing so the fact they're doing anything feels like a bonus victory lap.

    I think I might take the plunge and come over to Germany for some shows next summer.

    We were kind of loosely planning a trip in August around the m'era luna festival. My girlfriend has been begging to go to a goth festival in Germany for a while now, and next year happens to be her 30th birthday, so we were thinking of going in August. With the release of these R+ dates, I kind of re-arranged our "plans" a bit and instead of going to m'era luna, I think I'm going to plan it around Wave Gotik Treffen instead, which falls between June 7-10, which more aligns with her birth date on June 2nd. So, considering hitting the 2 Dresden shows in mid June.

    Gonna see if I can score some decent pit tickets to the shows first and plan it from there. I kind of briefly spilled the beans that R+ were touring Germany, but a different time than m'era luna to her, but I'm going to shut up and not say another word so I can try and surprise her with this. It was never "confirmed" we were going anyway. All I did was book a hotel in August, that is free cancellation, and she doesn't even know I did that yet lol.
